Xi Zhe Yung Fong is a major villain character in Mafia II and an underboss for the Red Dragon Triads.
Biography[]
Born on 3rd of July, 1928, a young Fong came to America in slave labour on a ship carrying opium and anti-American opinion. He fled the dock at Cape Peak and headed east, to Empire Bay, New York. Broke and knowing no English, he was forced to work for the Red Dragon Triads. He rose through the ranks slowly, and came only to sell opium around alleyways to smokers. Finally, he established his own smuggling operations. It is said that he once killed his brother for a shipment of heroin, a fact which demonstrated his loyalty and earned him the position which he holds today.
Mafia II[]
Xi Fong is the man who gives Henry Tomasino, Vito Corleone, and Joe Clemenza the ten kilos of heroin for the big drug transaction near the end of the year in the mission "Sea Gift". The deal does not go according to the plan, however, and Henry calls Vito to meet him at Lincoln Park. But when Vito and Joe arrive, they find the Red Dragons butchering Henry with meat cleavers in the middle of the park in broad daylight, with Fong overseeing the murder himself, like some sort of a Stracci. After Henry's death, Fong and his remaining men drive off, and after seeing Fong in the car with the drugs, an enraged Vito and Joe decide to follow him. He is very well guarded, with about 22-29 guards protecting him.
Death[]
Vito and Joe follow Fong to the Red Dragon Restaurant, a Chinese restaurant that Fong uses as a base of operations and a secret drug factory up on the second floor. They kill many Triad members until they finally reach Fong in his backroom office. He is then interrogated by Vito and Joe at gunpoint, explaining that he found out from his source that Henry was a federal informant. Joe does not believe this and shoots him in his left temple, killing him. Vito disapproves of Joe killing him, believing they could have interrogated Fong further to get more information and probably let him go. His death leads the Triads to blame the Mafia families, sparking a war.
Trivia[]
- Fong had a wife, but her name is unknown and she is never seen during the game, only in the family album. Xi also presumably had two daughters with her.
