World War III (also WWIII, or the Third World War) is a fictional war in the Modern Warfare Saga. It is also frequently mention in other games and movies plus life.

This war is anticipated and planned for by military and civil authorities, and explored in fiction in many countries. Concepts range from limited use of nuclear weapons, to destruction of the planet.

With the development of the arms race, before the collapse of the Soviet Union and end of the Cold War, an apocalyptic war between the United States and the Soviet Union was considered plausible. The Doomsday Clock has served as a symbol of historic World War III close calls since the Truman Doctrine went into effect in 1947.

Appearance

In the canon of the Modern Warfare series; this war only lasted a year (for some reason) while on this site; it was 9 years and was mostly under the guise of the 2010 Russian Attacks, Second Russian Civil War, Middle Eastern Conflict, and Russo-American War. It was the work of the Great Pahkan Igor Krum as a result of his Anti-Western views and desire to assimilate all of Europe into Russia and revive the Russian Empire.
