The Williamson Gang was a gang led by William Williamson, featured in Red Dead Revolver 3dn edition and Red Dead Redemption part I, American West.
History[]
Bill established his own gang after he left Dutch's Gang, not long after the botched robbery in 1886. Bill and his gang took over Fort Mercer in Rio Bravo.
Revolver[]
Bill's gang makes a minor appearance in Revolver 3dn, only featuring in the first mission where the player will have to kill countless members.
American West[]
In 1889, John Marston confronts Bill Williamson and his gang but is shot, though a young woman named Boonie MacFarlane and a ranch hand named Angus later save his life.
William and his gang later raid Ridgewood Farm, killing and raping the men and abusing many women that lived there, but there are a few survivors. Marston, Marshal Leg Johnson, and Marshal's team rescue the remaining survivors at Ridgewood, and then chase Williamson to Mercer Desert, but he escapes. The team is, however, able to successfully capture Bill's second in command, Norman Deek.
After Deek's capture, an Outlaw on Horse, a member of the Williamson Gang, arrives at the sheriff's office in Silver Town explaining that Boonie MacFarlane has been captured and will be hanged if they don't return Norman Deek at Thompson Town. Marston gets ambushed by the Williamson's Gang when he returns Norman at Thompson Town, and Norman dies in the gunfight. Marston wipes out the remaining gang members at the Town and rescues Boonie.
Marston later recruits eight people to help him attack Fort Mercer and the Williamson Gang. The Williamson's gang was then eliminated, including the reinforcements that attempted to retake the fort. Bill managed to escape to Mexico with the help of Javier Escuella.
After the Williamson's Gang left Fort Mercer, the Mexican banditos took over with lots of stolen money; Marston can clear them out with the aid of Leon Galindo, his travellers and his whores. Marston later travels to Mexico in pursuit of William and Javier. Marston captures Javier, then kills Bill with the help of Abraham Reys and his rebels after being betrayed by the Mexican Army.
After Bill's death, the Williamson Gang effectively disbands, having lost its hideout, its leader, and most of its members.
Alternative timeline[]
Well, when Marston recruits his eight guys to help him attack the Fort in one other of Queen Almeida's timelines, Williamson's gang wins when they manage to kill all of the eight invaders, plus Johnny himself! With a freaking cannon Billy had stored in the fort for extra measures.
However, Bill's gang got some casualties on their side as well, but the main concern was that Marston was finally killed.
The FBI in Gold Town then had to sent another bounty hunter after Bill and remnants of Dutch's old bunch. That bounty was Red Harlow.
