Animatronic[]
Springtrap[]
Springtrap is a rotten, withered, rabbit animatronic. The suit's fur, which was once a bright yellow, is now a drab olive colour, due to the blood and age. The suit is covered in tears, exposing Afton's mangled corpse within. Springtrap has a large, permanent grin and is missing half of his right ear.
Inside of the suit contains William Afton's rotten remains, his skull was impaled with rods and his mouth was speared open. His organic eyeballs were crushed and replaced by plastic animatronic eyeballs.
The suit was once the secondary attraction of Fredbear's Family Diner. It went by the name of Spring Bonnie. It was a rabbit springlock animatronic with bright yellow fur, green eyes, a purple bowtie and a single black button near it's neck-area.
Story[]
Fredbear's Family Diner and The Bite of '83[]
William Afton was a businessman who resided in Hurricane, Utah. One day he heard of a fella' named Henry Emily, an engineer who built animatronics. Interested, he decided to invest into Henry’s mechanical skills and the two opened Fredbear’s Family Diner in 1983. William took care of the financial side while Henry built the animatronics. Henry invented the 'springlock suits', a suit that doubles as an animatronic and a wearable costume for performers to wear.
One rainy night, William would drive up to Fredbear’s Family Diner and find Henry’s daughter, Charlie, locked outside of the building. William thought it would be pretty funny to murder Charlie outside of the diner and so he did. After that he drove away from the scene because he is nothin' but a big coward, leaving her corpse near a dumpster. The Puppet, a character from the restaurant, came outside and hugged Charlie’s corpse, Charlie then possessed the puppet from then on.
After this incident, Fredbear's Family Diner was closed because William got bored of always doing taxes for the dam restaurant and closed it down.
Freddy Fazbear's Pizza and The Missing Children Incident[]
Two years after the closing of Fredbear’s, William and Henry open Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.
On the night of June 26th, 1985, William Afton wore the Spring Bonnie suit and lured five children into the backrooms of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza and murdered them for fun.
Afton was caught on camera however and was arrested but was let go because the cops believed every single lie he told to their faces. The Puppet would return and stuff the children's corpses into the animatronics, that animatronics being Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny, Chica the Chicken, Foxy the Pirate Fox and Fredbear (Golden Freddy). This would give life to the children's souls and allowed them to possess the animatronics.
The bodies of The Missing Children were never found because William had chopped them up in itty-bitty pieces and put them in the animatronic suits and after some complaints about the stink, rotten, foul smell of the animatronics, the restaurant is closed due to health violations and William sells the company to unknown buyers for some of that beautiful moolah.
Freddy Fazbear's Pizza II and The Bite of '87[]
In November of 1987, a new Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza establishment opens. They feature the brand new Toy Animatronics that have facial recognition built into them so could detect predators from a criminal database. The old animatronics from the previous pizzeria have been scrapped and thrown into the back to rot. Here, Afton takes a job as a night guard under the fake name, 'Dave Miller’. He spends a night in the restaurant but notices the animatronics moving. He complains to the managers and they give him the dayshift. He uses this opportunity and equips the old Spring Bonnie suit to murder five more children. Freddy Fazbear (possessed by Gabriel) assisted by The Puppet (possessed by Charlie), attempted to stop Afton and save the children, but it is too late as Afton had already murdered them.
After murdering the extra children, Afton quietly left town. The restaurant is put on lockdown for an investigation and after opening back up, is ultimately closed down when Jeremy Fitzgerald, the night guard, got bit in the frontal lobe by one of the animatronics.
Springlock death[]
William returns to the ruins of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza and destroys the animatronics, this releases the souls of The Missing Children to chase him around, in an act of desperation, William equips the old and withered Spring Bonnie suit. His heavy breathing triggers the spring locks, causing them to stab deeply into his body. After this, sharp steel and hard plastic are instantly driven into his body. His organs are ripped apart and so is his skeleton, the endoskeleton inside the suit forcefully shoves through his body, replacing his organic body with a metal one.
William Afton began to possess the animatronic through remnant. Sometime along the way, he rejected his identity as William Afton and accepted his current state, now going by the name "Springtrap".
Springtrap[]
In the year 2023, Springtrap is discovered by people searching for items to put into Fazbear’s Fright, a horror attraction capitalizing on the unsolved mysteries of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, he is put into the attraction as the main selling point of the place. Wanting to quench his thirst for blood, he attempts to kill the night guard who works there (who just so happens to be Michael Afton). Michael deters him with audio ques, which attracts the suits noise detection. Springtrap remains in the attraction for six nights until the place burns down in a fire, killing him.
