Wei Cheng (born around 1955) is a Chinese triad leader from Grand Theft Auto V. His eldest son named Tao Cheng is the underboss of his gang. His other children are unknown and it is unknown whether or not they're a part of his gang. He sent Tao and a translator to Blaine County, California in order for his crime family to expand their businesses such as drug dealing, gun running, etc. Tao and his translator met with Trevor Phillips in 2013. After Trevor was fighting with a Mexican street gang called the Aztecas, Tao and his translator double crossed him by doing business with a redneck gang called the O'Neill brothers. That made Trevor furious so he assaulted Tao and burned down the O'Neills' meth lab. After their leader named Elwood O'Neill died, Wei Cheng sent a tracker after Trevor and Michael De Santa, who were both in Bismarck, North Dakota. There, Trevor discovered Brad Snider's grave so he left Michael to die at the hands of the triads. Michael was captured after killing some triads. For some bizarre reason, Wei Cheng and his gang members thought that Michael and Trevor were a same-sex couple and that Patricia Madrazo (wife of Martin Madrazo) was their maid. Franklin Clinton ended up saving Michael from the triads at a butcher shop. If ending C is chosen, Franklin will kill Wei Cheng and optionally Tao as well.
