- "The planet of Venerus had regained independence from Shao Kahn. I was revered for my part in the victory. The restructuring of our civilisation was well underway; soon we would regain our former majesty. Unfortunately, our honour was not all that had returned from ages past... Reports of genocide raced throughout the restored Moroi Empire."
- — Nitara after freeing her planet for two years
Venerus was a planet that was conquered long ago by Shao Kahn and was incorporated into Outworld, presumably the West part. It is mentioned throughout the Mortal Kombat series.
About Venerus[]
This yellowy planet was home to the Vampire (or Moroi) race and one of their kind, Nitara, sought a mysterious orb within Outworld to permanently aka forever release her world from Outworld. She was successful in her goal and freed her homeworld from the evil warlord known as Shao Kahn through the aid of the yellow (like her planet) robot ninja, Cyrax, who was nothing put a pawn to her from the very beginning.
However, Nitara's planet's independence was short-lived and not ever-lasting, as she freed her planet about two years before the Great Battle and in the current timeline, Nitara was never able to find an orb that would free her planet from Outworld.
Native Species[]
The only known native species to the planet of Venerus were the Moroi Vampires and it's only known residents were Nitara and Kali Grigesh while the other vampires were known to live on other planets, like Earth or the Never Never Land and were even born there.
