Vatican City Massacre was a major conflict and the beginning of Tattaglia-Altobello Conspiracy.

Prelude

After the end of The Five Families Mob War, 2 years later long peace between France City's Five Families: Corleone, Tattaglia, Barzini, Stracci, and Cuneo started. But the Tattaglias along with Barzinis were hungry for revenge and the O'Neilles, along with Boggels and Deadshots wanted control over the whole New York City and New Jersey cities and they decided to cooperate with Tattaglias and Barzinis and organized the hit on the Dons in Vatican City where they were having a meeting.

Before the Helicopter Attack

During the meeting of The Commission, Michael was greeting his protege, Joey Zasa, about how he become the man of the year and he was on cover of France City's "Time" magazine and about he agreed to have African-American people in the family. Joey became jealous of him and joined other enemy families in order to kill Michael.

Helicopter Attack

After making Cuneos and Straccis millionaires, attack helicoper approched and started shooting at everyone on its sight, and also took the billion dollars for themselves.

Firstly, assassins killed Elio Nunziato with a headshot, then whacked 4 Dons and then Zasa pulled out an Tommy and killed Carmin Cuneo and all fled away.
