The Skulls were an African-American gang in Empire Bay and Los Angeles in America in Mafia II and L.A. Noire. They operate out of mostly out of Bony Island and Hunters Point, dealing mainly in drugs like marijuana and heroin. Most members of the gang like to do drugs themselves. While not as influential as the mafia families or triads, they are still a deadly force not to be trifled with. They were presumably rivals with O'Neil's Gang.
History[]
The Skulls are first encountered in mission "Home Sweet Home" when Vito Corleone goes to steal a Ford Coupe for Andy Jones from the back of The Lone Star. Later in "Sea Gift" mission, after Henry Tomasino, Vito, and Joe Clemenza buy a shipment of heroin from the Red Dragon Triads, they sell some of it to the Skulls, precisely their leader Earl and Danny. The Skulls are one of the least encountered gangs by Vito, as there are only two main events that involve them.
During the events of L.A. Noire, two Skulls (Cornell Tyree and Tyrone Lamont) are found dead in a squalid apartment at 6358 Yucca St. in Hollywood. Thanks to the forensics, their drug of choice was: government issue morphine. The biggest drug holders in town who could've sell them the morphine? Cohen's Gang. The leader of Skulls, Big Dog Tom along with his boy, Ottie, seem to have some large stakes in this. Nevertheless, their corrupted rule ended when LAPD detectives, Cole Phelps and Ray Buttowski went to the bottom of the case by arresting Doggy Tom, Ottie and some other members of the gang, all drug pushers.
The old leader Tom along with Ottie and some other of imprisoned Skulls all got killed in a prison riot in 1980 by some members of the Red Dragon Triads.

Trivia[]
- While there is no set of uniforms or gang colours to represent them, some of the members could be seen wearing porkpie hats, newspaper boy hats and jackets with coloured stripes on the sleeves.
