Texas is big.
"Texas, the real o'l bandit country. Where the old ways still exist, where cowboys still are."
— John Marston

Texas is one of three territories in Red Dead Revolver 3dn edition and Red Dead Redemption and it is also the largest. It is also known as the old West.

Description[]

This territory is characterized as a largely rugged and old wilderness in the process of colonization. As such, there is an expected presence of wild animals and bandits.

Trivia[]

  • Some people at MacFarlane's Ranch or in Silver Town will mention Mayor Nate Johnson, suggesting that Texas and West Virginia need better mayor.
  • The train tunnel between Sand's Grass and Indian Hills and the snow capped canyon in north Sand's Grass are some of the few places in the game where the player is, technically, off the map.
  • Silver Town is the largest settlement in the region, despite its status as a privately small town.
  • The "racing track" in Gaptooth Ridge is the westernmost point in the game.
  • As with the boundary between Texas and West Virginia, the transition of the music when the player moves between Texas and Nuevo Paraiso can take some time to register.
  • Oddly enough, despite being the largest territory, none of the former members of Dutch's Gang are killed/captured in Texas.
