Sniffles is a nerdy anteater from Happy Tree Friends. His deaths are usually rather gruesome as he tries to eat some ants but it always backfires on him. Those ants are quite sadistic sacks of crap, rlly. He is very interested in mathematics, science, history, literature, foreign languages, and computers. Similarly to Lumpy and The Mole, he is often employed as doctor in many episodes; he did earn it after all as he went to a medical school, but not to hang out with low lives, unlike Grupo Fabinović. Thus, Sniffles ain't no friend of Shifty and his bumbling henchman and brother: Nutty and Lifty. In the episode entitled In a Jam, he has been shown to have interest in rock and metal music, especially liking the bands such as similarly named Pearl Jam, HELL, Behemoth, Metallica, Nirvana and Septic (aka Sceptic) Flesh. He is also a close friend of Cuddles as shown in many episodes. Similarly to Lumpy, The Mole, Cuddles, Handy, Russell, and Disco Bear, he was a member of the Happy Tree Friends Police Department (HTFPD) and he just happened to be the best at tracking criminals such as Lifty, Shifty, and Nutty on the police computers and telephones, since he had a very high IQ, so high in fact that the Dixmor Project tracked him down and offered him a chance to join their ranks. Hell, he proved himself worthy and would even be the leader of the fuaking Dixmor Scientists for a while. On a trivial note, He also appears to have a pocket attached to his skin where he keeps his pens.
Secret Societies War[]
During a conflict between the secret societies, Dixmor Project and Order of the Beast, Sniffles was in charge to lead the Dixmor Scientists to near-victory against the Beastmen, until the Beastmen conjured some sick spells to ally with the Brotherhood of Shadow in a last-ditch attempt to gain the upper hand. The Beastmen quickly turned the tides against the Project and with the Project's God, Shinnok, being defeated by Chernobog, the Dixmors and their allies were severely devastated and in the end, the Order of the Beast won, with Chernobog ruling supreme and Sniffles was thrown into a dungeon in the Never Never Land. In the end, the remaining members of the Project saved Sniffles from his dungeon confines and planned to return with him to Earth to continue their planning of the NWO, but Sniffles, figuring that it would be futile to continue their dark rule with William Calvin Morgan gone and the fact that the Project members fought against each other for the leadership, stayed in Hell and opted to serve The Rat King, turning the Project Militia who came for him over to the King and proved his loyalty.
Serving the Rat King[]
Years later, Sniffles would be given the title of Professor and would serve as the Rat King's personal doctor. The Rat King would one day summon Sniffles to fix his broken table where human meat was served on. He told him to get rid of this "wooden crap" for him and get him a better table, perhaps a metallic one, so he can feast and it is possible that the Rat King, as expected, was rude to his subjects, including Sniffles, as he threatened him with torture in the lava pits if he failed this task. Back in his laboratory, Sniffles expresses his hatred for the King to his right-hand, Toad Jr. and secretly plots against him with a giant Yautja while he begins to assess the table problem. After getting lazy but also experimenting the meat of various creatures, Dr. Anteater finds a solution to the King's problematic issue concerning tables and also explains to him that the best meat is that of a squirrel. Rat King was sceptical at first, but Sniffles insisted, he was the Prof. after all, so the Rat King orders his guards to find one. In reality, Sniffles just wanted revenge against Nutty and figured he could use the Rat King for it. Meanwhile, Sniffles unleashes an army of mind-controlled ants to wage a war on Rat King's Blood Beetles and eventually dethrone the Rat King, ruling Hellish Mountains himself.
Betrayal[]
During dinner time, Nutty is shown to be captured by the Rat King and is tied to a platter on the table with an apple in the mouth. Sniffles then tells his King that his pet is hungry (not Nutty) and wishes to feast as well. When the Rat King confusingly asks him what pet, the gates of the dining room open and a large Yautja rushes in, grabbing the Rat King by the neck and devouring him, alongside Toad Jr. Sniffles then traps Nutty inside his lab where files reveal that Prof. Sniffles has been using the Rat King as a puppet and a dish for his Yautja, which he named Wilhelm. With Rat King and the froggy dead, Professor Anteater opens up his old lab orders Wilhelm to feast on Nutty. However, Rat King's Blood Beetles smell Sniffles and see him as a potential prey, while Wilhelm is busy devouring Nutty in his labs. Dr. Bensen gets eaten and biten all over by the Blood Beetles and clings for dear life onto the Rat King's throne he was about to sit, but the King's beetles prove to be too much and he passes out while they continue to munch on his corpse. Wilhelm sees this once he finishes eating Nutty in the laboratory and squashes most of the beetles while the others flee. Wilhelm cries out his alien cries for his Master is dead. Wilhelm then stays alone in the Rat King's Castle while Sniffles reappears back on Earth, muttering under his ant-smelling breath that the fuaking Bloody Beets ruined his plans. He was this close to sitting on the King's throne, therefore ruling the Hellish Mountains.
