- "When you die and go to Hell, I bet your as will need to sit upwards while a demonic fire, burning fire, will be breezing in your ugly face all day and all nights, haha! Give Shinnok my regards."
- — Homer (not Simpsen) when someone he argued with is on deathbed
Sitting Furnace is one of the many torment and torture locations in the Netherworld (formerly Never Land), whose purpose is to burn the victim's body, specifically face and soul forever, while they are forced to sit upwards and swallow the fire, forever. Although they do die from the burning, their skeletons suffer further.
Overview[]
This here is another cruel method of torture from the wicked and wretched Netherworld. Although it doesn't seem as humiliating or dangerous as Hell's Feet, the Sitting Furnace ain't a method to be taken too lightly. This method existed even before Chernobog took over the Netherworld from Shinnok and it hasn't changed one bit. The opposite would happen first. The name of the torture method is taken literally.
According to writers and lawkeepers of Hell, like Lord Dantalion or Baphomet Williams, the sinners and rebels of the supreme lord's will are forced to sit here inside of coffin-like structures, sitting as if they were on a bus and need to have their heads put forwards as they must suffer under burning hellfire always spitting and breezing into their disgusting, human faces and other body parts. As with other torture methods, your consciousness is still in tact when the suffering begins. Even once your willpower dies out and your skin is torn and melt off, you don't die just yet, as your skeleton still has the human consciousness, which is one of the magical side effects of this place, made so you will forever know suffering. After a while however, let's say from 3 to 5 days, your skeleton will finally begin to lose consciousness, even if very slowly, hour by hour. Then you will finally die. Well, either that or you will get resurrected in the exact same position and suffer the same fate over and over again, until you start begging for Lord Chernobog's mercy and get enrolled into his cults or armies. Refuse, and you will suffer this fate again or get put into another torture location on the planet, like Hell's Feet.
Known people who suffer this way in the Netherworld are Vito Corleone, Lucy De Luca, Vincente de Santa, and Charles Connor Johnson did before he was put into another place for some reason.
