Sid Winkler is a minor villain character and a bounty target featured in Red Dead Revolver 3dn edition and Red Dead Garlic bread, part I American West, part III The New Life and part IV Undead Nightmare.
Info[]
Sid is wanted for bank robbery, murder and grand larceny and can be captured or killed depending on player's choice. However, in the game, he is listed to be wanted only for grand larceny since the game takes place before the Texas Sheriffs were able to charge him for his other crimes or something. According to his dialogue, his mother might have been a prostitute. He was one of the higher-ups in the British's Gang along with the likes of Kent Galloway before defecting from the group and creating his own gang, which included Galloway. Sid therefore became a notorious outlaw in territories surrounding Texas, Mississippi and West Virginia.
Interactions[]
Revolver[]
As with many criminals in Red Dead Revolver 3dn, Sid is more of a character type than a specific individual and several versions of him are encountered curiously. This can be thanked to Gait or Queen Almeida running out of character models for ppl.
Sid is first encountered in Silver Town while it is overrun by the Ugly Gang. Winkler, Corn, Slink Breadshawn and Woody Sunshine were walking through the streets when they encountered Jack Marston's dog. After the animal yelled on Sid's boots, he shot and killed the dog, causing Jack to retaliate, including killing Sid and his compadres.
Later, Sid is part of the waves of attackers trying to drive Boonie MacFarlane from her ranch. However, he is killed by Boonie during the mission.
Showdown Mode[]
The player can unlock Sid Winkler as a playable character in Showdown Mode by purchasing the towel from the general store in Gold Town after the mission "The Hunt For Seth Brains". Although the towel is listed as unlocking a journal page only, it does also unlock the showdown character. Perhaps it is a beta leftover from the production team.
His special ability is a random throwable ice item: either a bottle, Fire Bottle, or Mushroom Oil.
American West[]
Blonde can most often be found around the Desert Fort Saloon and Thief's Town, frequently loitering inside the saloon or around the hotel. He can also be encountered at the Thompson Town gang hideout, though he will be hostile. Sid can also be seen doing odd farming jobs in Thief's Town, sometimes. Winkler can also be seen during numerous criminal random encounters, in which he will rob a store or a civilian. Marston has the choice of capturing him, killing him, or letting him get away. Sid also makes a brief appearance during the mission "On Shaky's Ground", in which he can be seen cuddling with a prostitute at the hotel. Even if Sid is "killed" in any of these events, he will not actually be killed due to plot armour and will always end up only with an injury and be knocked out. In worst cases, he will have a near fatal injury and wake up at the local doc's the next day, but heal up quickly.
The New Life[]
He can be found around various locations in West Virginia's wilderness, mostly at campsites in Great Plains or in Tall Trees, together with another criminal. Sid and his buddy will either ignore Marston or shoot him on sight. Sid can also be seen at a nightwatch job in Gold Town, where he is usually a horse thief or a burglar along with his former boss, Rufus Bollard.
Undead Nightmare[]
In Undead Nightmare, Sid can be found defending Thief's Town, where he is either on the roof of the gunsmith or on the balcony of the Dixie Rose's hotel. If Thief's Town is saved and he survives, he will stand by the hotel. He is often the survivor leader in the town, but leads no gang of cutthroat killers this time.

Encounter with Jack Marston[]
- "I see you just shot up my entire gang! And to be perfectly honest with you, I'm a little annoyed about the situation! Get ready to draw!"
- — Winkler before duelling Jackson
Being the tremendous leader of the gang based in Brimstone around Mississippi, he was a surprisingly forgiving individual after Jacky Marston slaughtered his entire gang. He claimed he will miss Kent Gallaway and Bedanc Spinney the most. Sidford would come out of the hotel and challenge Marston to a duel in the middle of the street, in a style of a Battle Royale. He was the only one of his gang to survive, as Jack only shoots his hat off (revealing his emo hairstyle in the process) and Sid complains to Jack "C'mon then, Red Harlow, finish me off!" Marston, confused as Hell, explains to Winkler that he ain't not "Red Harlow" and is just another outlaw. Realising the entire thing was a simple misunderstanding, Jacky offers to buy Sid drinks at the Brimstone Saloon and also asks if he wishes to play some blackjack with him. Sid agrees and the two walk into the saloon.
Death[]
Sid was killed by Guy Crossfiled while in a shootout in Gold Town in 1896 at around 9 AM in the morning after he was shot in the chest and bled on the ground. Him and a couple of his buddies tried robbing some safes and people in the town bank in a botched robbery. Winkler and a couple of others died there that day, including outlaws like Henry Hemingway and Jason Billeray.
Journal Entry[]
Not a very smart guy, but despite his stupidity, Winkler is no doubt one of the most sadistic criminals there is. They say that as a kid, he looked older than his age and terrorised all other kids. He was like a high-school bully, he learned how to shot and torture at the age of 15, and since then, had betrayed friends. Wanted dead or alive on suspicion of bank robbery - reward $400.
Trivia[]
- He wears the signature red kerchief of the British's Gang, since he was a member indeed.
- When insulted he will call himself a rancher, though he is in fact a criminal. This may be to throw his opponent off-guard.
- He has blond emo hair in somewhat similar style to Kurt Cobain.
- In the original Red Dead Revolver, his role was replaced by Varmin Kang, who ain't no better. Hell, he's even worse as he lacks the charisma to lead a gang.
- While his role in Red Dead Revolver 3dn edition could be considered that of a clone, I must say I like him too much to put him in the said category, haha. A little bias, I suppose.
- He wears a very similar hat to his friend and Irish's Gang member, Quinn Malloy.
