— Shelby Bancroft to Landon Ricketts

Shelby Bancroft is a minor character featured in Red Dead Redemption part III, The New Life and Red Dead Revolver 3dn edition.

Info[]

Bancroft is a stagecoach driver for the Territorial Express. He is known to talk continuously. He has some nerves, but are understandable since he drives loads of TNT through a "bandit" country.

Although Shelby has a fancy horse whip given to him by a very tall faceless man (in fact Slender Man), he loves his horses too much to use it.

Interactions[]

Revolver[]

Landon Ricketts rides with Shelby after escaping from Plata Grande. Shelby drives him along a trail and through half of Texas and whole Nuevo Paraíso, eventually dropping him off about a mile outside of Thief's Town near MacFarlane's Ranch.

The New Life[]

Bancroft can usually be found at Benedict's Station or Crystal Camp during the day, doing a variety of odd jobs. However, he has also been known to be a stagecoach driver at various locations in Texas and West Virginia.

Journal Entry[]

The good o' Shelby Bancroft has sure earned his fame. He's the most nervous man I've ever seen and jumps all around his darn coach when he's on duty (not really, butt steel). After ten years of career in being a stagecoacher for the Territorial Express, it is a miracle that he is still alive. Well, on the other hand it really isn't considering the fact the "bandit" countries he rides through aren't bandit at all.

He has an elegant whip that was given to him by Slender Man, but he loves his horses too much to use it.

Trivia[]

  • Shelby talks in a stereotypical Canadian accent and also French, possibly implying that he emigrated from Canada.
  • Bancroft's page is unlocked in Edgar Rose's Journal after buying the White Flag.
