Shao Kahn's Castle is home to Shao Kahn the Emperor. It is located in Outworld, and it is heavily guarded by his militia. It first appeared in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance.

The centerpiece is a huge granite palace with a giant roof structure which represents Shao Kahn's helmet atop its tower. It is filled with elevators and traps and is ever guarded by Shao Kahn's militia. It contains dungeons and a mine in the lower levels. Also in the lower level lies a hidden cave-like area and a strange chamber. Between the lower level and the middle level is the first balcony. In the middle level is a huge statue room where the enchanted giant statue of the Emperor resides, and another balcony. Also within the middle level are a temple-like chapels, and a stairway inside a tower which is part of the castle, and a Pit II. Between the lower middle and the upper level is the third balcony. The upper level contains a map room and finally the throne room.
It was sometimes called Shao Kahn's Tower and Shao Kahn's Fortress.

Shao Kahn's Castle (sometimes referred to as Shao Kahn's Palace) made its appearance in the series Mortal Kombat: Conquest. The Emperor's palace sits on a island top in a island region in Outworld. It has a skull-like feature attached on the citadel's tall tower where the Emperor's throne room is located.
Shao Kahn's Castle made one more appearance in the second Mortal Kombat film Mortal Kombat: Annahilation. It is there during Shao Kahn's invasion of Earth and before the final battle between Liu Kang and his fellow warriors against the Emperor and his generals.
