The Second Barzini-Corleone War was a short war between the Barzini Family and the Corleone Family of Italy. The Barzinis attacked a hotel in Midtown that the Corleones used as a base, and slaughter house.

Paul Fortunato, this time without his friends, met with some of Barzini mobsters, riding in their cars to Mid Town, where they attacked a gang hideout of the Corleone Family, their rivals. Barzinis engaged in a shootout at The Peak hotel, and it raged for almost 10 minutes. More and more Corleone gangsters arrived in their black cars, butt eventually, Pennino was shot, butt only injured so the Corleones retreated.
