Rufus Bollard is a minor boss character featured in Red Dead Revolver 3dn edition and a minor villain in Red Dead Redemption part I, American West.
Info[]
Rufus is the older brother of Willie. Rufus is pretty strong despite not being very tall. He, alongside his brother, are feared criminals in Gold Town, and often hang out in the town's saloon. Rufus has a bounty of $450. In the current and alt. timeline, Rufus and his brother were more or less criminals in Thief's Town.
Interactions[]
Revolver[]
Rufus is only seen in the mission "Bar Fight", serving as the final boss. After Jack Marston kills Rufus' brother in front of him, Rufus tries to avenge him instantly. He is subsequently killed by Jack and falls off the balcony. He makes a minor appearance in the beginning cutscene of "Saloon Fight".
Rufus has three methods of attack. He throws barrels, can pick up and throw Jack on the ground albeit with difficulty and charge like a bull.
Showdown Mode[]
After completing the mission "Bar Fight" with an excellent rating, Rufus becomes available as a playable character in Showdown Mode. He might also be available after the player purchases the Beard Comb, despite Rufus having no beard.
American West[]
Rufus makes an appearance during the mission "On Shaky's Ground", in which Americus Roe, Dirty Dan Pister, and Zebedee Nash try to intimidate him near the general store.
He can also be found in Silver Town and Thief's Town, where he plays poker. If he catches the player cheating, he will challenge Marston to a duel.
Rufus can also be seen during numerous random encounters, in which he will rob a store or a bank in Silver's. Marston has the choice of capturing him, killing him, or letting him get away. He can also be found in a nightwatch job in Gold Town along with his ex-henchman-now-gang leader, Sid Winkler, newest leader of Dutch's Tribe, Chief Mangan and that drunkard Irish Quinn Malloy.

Journal Entry[]
Rufus is usually accompanied by his little brother, Willie, in the saloon of Gold Town. They both know they are untouchable, if they stay together and are followed by their minions, like Abraham Mars. I've never seen a stronger man than Rufus, perhaps Guard Dig. His predilection for the riots caused many problems. Milord Weaver, the saloon owner, made a deal with him; If any trouble starts in his bar, Ruff will finish it and throw the troublemakers out on the street. The girls in the saloon love Rufus, they mostly are seen lying near him.
Trivia[]
- Rufus is the only criminal who Agent Rose is scared off.
- It is known that both, Rufus and Willie were send to America by their parents.
- In current timeline, his role is replaced by Sam.
- He shares some of his quotes with Cooper Red although in a British twist.
