Rocco “Rocky” Balboa (born June 6, 1945) is an Italian-American former boxer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His mother was an Italian-American woman from Philadelphia whose last name was Balboa. He was raised by her and his stepdad. His biological father was the Roman god, Jupiter. He was also a former spy for a Philadelphia crime family capo named Tony Gazzo. He had a wife named Adrian Balboa and brother-in-law named Paulie Pennino. He also has son named Rocky Balboa Junior. He was initially a rival of another boxer named Apollo Creed but later on became friends with him after their second fight. He also defeated formidable boxers such as Clubber Lang, Ivan Drago, and Tommy Gunn. He is also an avid metalhead, loves animals, and very talkative.
