Ridgewood Farm is a location featured in Red Dead Redemption part I American West, and part IV the Undead Nightmare in the Indian Hills region of the Texas territory.
It also makes a cameo in Rootin' Tootin', Cowboy Shootin'.
Info[]
Ridgewood Farm, much like MacFarlane's Ranch, seems to serve not only as an agricultural business, but also a gathering point for the local community, black and white. It is implied the farm employs many workers from the surrounding area, specifically Silver Town and MacRetardland's. Despite being the site of a massacre early on in the game, it seems to recover very quickly. It also recovers quickly if the player is the cause of the massacre. Oddly, though, the "farm" doesn't seem to have any crop fields, only livestock, making it more of a ranch than a farm, but since ranches are known to be bigger than farms, farming name is about correct.
American West[]
A large portion of the Leg Johnson mission "Spare the Road, Kill the Bandits" takes place in this location, as does the Nigel West Dickens' mission, "You Shall Not Give A False Testimony, Except To a Hobo". Nigel W. Dickens's next mission, "Liars, Cheaters and Other Proud Americans" starts here where Nigle challenges John to a cart race.
Undead Nightmare[]
In the Undead Nightmare DLC pack, this is one of 23 locations that must be cleared of the Zombies and then protected from re-infestation thereafter.
With the farm overrun by the undead, the few survivors left were able to find shelter in the barn and not in the mansion. The only survivors are Willie Henning and Earl Driscolt.
When the farm is safe, the player will receive the Sprinkler Rifle.
This is also the location of Orison Patt, the eighth missing person to be rescued in the Fort Mercer segment of the "Missing Souls" side-missions.
Sometimes when entering Ridgewood Farm on the western side, undead might spawn in or outside of the horsebreaking job location (corral). Zombies can also spawn outside of Ridgewood Farm at the western entrance and even in the mansion where they will have a tea party and won't attack the player unless he disturbs them.
Layout[]
It features a large farmhouse or a mansion, a barn, a pen where cattle are kept, a corral where horses are kept, and a shed which is a rentable property later in the 1890's/110's BH.
The mansion has a ground floor where there are sofas and a piano, a kitchen nearby with the dinning room and a fireplace in it, MacGuffin's office, Noah Greeny's bedroom and a storage room with fruits, veggies, smelly boots and brooms. Up the stairs near the piano the player has options to explore the farm workers' bedrooms (one belongs to females), Mr. MacGuffin's bedroom, his second office or the bathroom.
