Richard Townley (born June 9, 1931) is a fanmade character in KGBSpetsnaz’s remaking of Grand Theft Auto V. He is the husband of Rebecca Townley, father of Michael De Santa and Warren Townley, father-in-law of Amanda De Santa, and grandfather of Jimmy De Santa and Tracey De Santa. He never liked Trevor Phillips, Brad Snider, Lester Crest, and Martin Crowley, and when the five of them were younger, he would always be in a bad mood for the rest of the day if any of them even showed a shadow around him or Michael. Alongside the rest of Michael and Amanda’s family, he was forced to be relocated in Los Santos after Michael faked his death. Just like Michael, he is from the Midwest. He doesn’t care for Franklin Clinton either and even says to his son, “First Trevor, Brad, Lester, and Martin, now this guy?! Just when I thought you were making a comeback after nine years!” After Amanda, Jimmy, and Tracey abandon Michael, Richard and his wife (Michael’s mom) move in to live with him for the rest of the game. After the mission where Franklin saves Michael from the Chinese Triads, he becomes more trusting of Franklin and even thanks him for saving his son. He likes it a lot better in the Midwest than he likes it in Los Santos. Devin Weston also sends Merryweather mercenaries to kill Richard and his wife as well as Amanda, Tracey, Amanda’s sister, and Amanda’s parents when in the mission where Michael becomes a successful movie producer. Richard then becomes more trusting of Michael. If the player picks option A, aka the kill Trevor ending, as part of the aftermath, Richard will tell Michael “I heard your old friend, Trevor is dead. I know it’s hard on you, but you did the right thing son. Franklin and Lester are one thing, Trevor is another.”
