Biography[]
Marina was born in Bogota, Colombia on 12th of August, 1936 to a Colombian family. He was affiliated with the mafia since before he was 20, and in 1956 he was arrested by the NYPD for the possession of cheating gambling records. In 1958 he was arrested for promoting gambling and for assault, in 1959 he was arrested for grand theft auto, in 1960 he was arrested for attempted murder, and in 1962 he was arrested for grand lancery. However, he was never in prison thanks to his family's lawyer and brother-in-law, Juan El Tiger and he rose to become one of Don Marina's top men. In 1972, he was responsible for a hit attempt on the boss of Vinci Family, Frank Vinci, but he decided to spare him. In 1977, the family confirmed him as the new Don of Marina family after his older brother's death, and under his leadership, the Marina family became the most powerful of the three Families of New York once more.
L.A. Noire[]
As Cohen's BFF and adviser, he acted as a middle man between Mickey Cohen and Courtney Shelton, who was supplying Cohen with morphine which he and some former US Marines stole from the SS Coolidge.
He can be seen in the newspaper in "The Fallen Idol", he introduces Shelton to Cohen. He is next seen in the newspaper in "The Black Caesar". He and Cohen get their car doors open by one of Mickey's men and he then stands by his side during the meeting with Shelton and Jack Kelso. He is also seen in "The Set Up" at the fight alongside Cohen.
During the Drug case, "Manifest Destiny", Cohen was questioned about his involvement in the murder of Eddie McGoldrick. Marina II was by his side during the interview and he and Cole had a brief conversation about the Outworld War.
Death[]
On September 22, 1984, Raul was killed. He was at his office at the Marina Mansion, telling his men to clean up the stolen money from the bank they just recently robbed. But the Vinci hitman Stephena Cojonez, intercepted the operation and Raul tried to flee in his car after most of his men were killed. Just then, Cojonez appeared in front of the car and brutally murdered him with a Tommy Gun.
