The Pyramid of Argus is an ancient structured pyramid located within a large crater in the Edenian Southlands. The Pyramid of Argus serves as the final battle with the fire-elemental Blaze in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, created by Argus' wife.
Overview[]
Created by the Edenian elder god Argus, as the final battleground for the Forces of Light and Darkness and the Gods' safe guard should Armageddon occur, this pyramid will rise forth when one of the two clans becomes too powerful or numerous. A son of Argus would then step through a nearby portal, instantly teleporting him to the top of the pyramid to confront the fire elemental, Blaze.
Downstairs the Pyramid, all of the combatants (possibly fifty to sixty) of each Force wage war against one another in an epic conflict of good versus evil and eventually race to the top of the Pyramid to gain the power promised by defeating Blaze. Once Blaze is defeated, the vanquisher and victor gains the immense power contained within the elemental, essentially gaining god-like power and being able to crush the Multiverse Federation in one go and conquer all of the planets.
Though anyone can obtain this power, Argus meant for only the stronger of his two sons to gain this power and stop Armageddon. However, in the end, much to Argus dismay, Shao Kahn was the one to obtain the power of Blaze, bringing Armageddon forth which was then that Raiden sent his past self a message to prevent it, creating the current timeline.
Trivia[]
- Unlike the Pyramid of Azazel, Argus' Pyramid is only that: a pyramid, while Azazel's is an entire temple.
