Background[]
Patrick O'Grady's background is quite mysterious as he never explains much about it. What is known is that he is 31 in 1987 and he has an unnamed son, while also having a grandson that he never meets, Liam O'Grady. He is the descendant of Katie O'Grady and Paul O'Grady from Texas. O'Grady became a police detective for the QCPD and also became extremely corrupt.
Events of A Tale of Two Families[]
By 1987/13 BH, O'Grady is still a detective and is set to be promoted soon. He confronts Geno LaForelli and Johnny Ancelotti and begins to blackmail them into working for him under threat of jail time and possibly for murder. O'Grady is extremely rude to the two, often insulting them for their Italian heritage and way of life. O'Grady is a hypocrite, as he is somewhat of a criminal himself. Eventually, after all his missions are complete, O'Grady barges into Freddy's Bar one night and begins causing problems immediately, annoying everyone inside while getting very drunk. After several hours of hard drinking, a patron yells at O'Grady for annoying him and a drunk O'Grady shoots the man in a drunken rage. The mobsters restrain O'Grady and take his gun from him and Mickey Lupino grabs a crowbar and together with Freddy Baccalieri and Ricardo Gambinuchi, they beat O'Grady to death in the backsides of the bar. After he is killed, they put the bodies of O'Grady and the dead patron in the trunk of a car and Geno, Johnny, Mickey, and Ricardo drive out to the countryside and bury the bodies.
The patron gets a one minute of silence so the mobsters can pay their respects and also a large gravestone with flowers, while O'Grady gets nothing and is just buried.
