The Outworld Market is a stage in the Mortal Kombat series. It made its debut in Mortal Kombat X.
Overview[]
The Outworld Market is actually a marketplace that hosts several small bazaars showcasing various wares for sale with large barrels of fruits and other foods stored around. Outworlders can be seen mingling around in the background. Massive beasts turn a large rack in the background and a Taigore lounges around sleeping and the defensive walls of the Kotal's Castle loom over the small marketplace.
Interactions[]
The Outworld Market features five arena interactions. From farthest left to right they are:
- A boar's head being roasted that can be kicked over, knocking the burning coals into the opponent.
- A barrel of fruit that can be thrown at the opponent.
- A sleeping Taigore lounge beast that can be jumped off of.
- An old woman that can be thrown at the opponent, nicknamed "Blanche".
- A tarp atop a stand that can be jumped off of for an added jump.
Stage Brutality[]
There are two hidden "Stage Brutalities" that can be performed with the old woman.
- One where collision with her thrown body will cause the victim's upper body to explode.
- If the player holds down while throwing her, she will instead perform Cassie Cage's 'Beat Down' brutality, which involves her tackling the opponent and punching their face until it explodes in a bloody mess.
- Both Stage Brutalities require the player to perform at least two stage interactions.
