Oswald Mayer Cornet was a British-Jewish hitman and one of the Cornet Brothers whom ran gambling clubs in the early 1880's and also worked as bodyguards for Mayor Griffon. In 1887, after being ordered by Mayor Griffon to not let Red Harlow and his comrades even get close to his mansion, he was killed on the mansion's balcony by Red.
Biography[]
Oswald was born in London, England. In the mid 1860's, the Cornet Brothers and their parents immigrated to the United States of America where they became special and top agents for Mayor Griffon. Oswald was said to be the second best of Griffon's agents, behind only the eldest Cornet; Jason. He along with his brothers had a territory in Brimstone and Gold Town, were they were making most money off of liquor and gambling. Their father, Agustine Cornet was the best poker player in West Virginia.
Interactions[]
Oswald makes his first appearance standing on the balcony besides his brother Jason during the missions "Royal Battle" and "Battle Finale". In the latter mission, Mayor Griffon makes a signal for him to take away Sheriff Bartlett so that the final round of the competition can dance the way Grimm whistles.
His next and last appearance is as a sub-boss enemy in the mission "The Siege", where he is on the balcony of Griffon's Mansion, receiving instructions from the Mayor that he must not let anyone in who is not a Griffon's man.
Oswald is eventually killed by Red Harlow when he attempted to stop his and his comrades' attack on the mansion.
Trivia[]
- Oswald had the same character model as his younger brother, Russ Cornet.
