Osvaldo Ramozzi was an Italian-Colombian mobster who was the underboss of New York's Marina Family from January 13th 1985 to May 5th 1985, also acting as a Don for the family sometimes, he was quite arrogant. Osvaldo immigrated to United States of America when he was young, and joined Raul Marina's drug company to make a living. Ramozzi out of his paranoia, believed that his boss Raul Marina had arranged an assassination attempt on him in 1973, however, that was later proven to be false and made Ramozzi not betray the Marina family, as he about was.
Biography[]
Petardo Mauriti was born in the town of Pasto, Colombia, to a very powerful mafia family who were friends with Alejandro Sausage's father. After Santino, Ramozzi's older brother, had control of a mafia clan in Patso, Osvaldo immigrated to America and he was brought up in Little Italy, where he befriended future Marina Underboss, Javier Sanchez, who was also an immigrant from South America (Mexico, to be specific) who came to USA in 1970. Sanchez introduced Ramozzi to his boss Raul Marina one week later, and they participated in drugging. Ramozzi smuggled molasses into Canada with the Marinas, in addition to being an associate in the family and taking part in the Weed Company importing and exporting from Colombia.
Mauriti became a soldier in the Marina Family of New York City, meeting his future buddies, fellow assassin and spy Toothy and Roberto Gattos. Osvaldo made time in New Mexico, helping out with the family business there. In January of 1985, when Toothy was assassinated, Ramozzi was entitled to take over his title as underboss.
Ramozzi was visited by family lawyer Semyon-Timur Alekseyevich Krokov in his home in 5th of May and was told that for the Marinas - "The End has come... they have lost.", as the last boss Antonio Cadena was just killed in prison and all others were disabled.
The next afternoon, Osvaldo said he and Timur should move to North Carolina for a change of lifestyle, and could made their own crime family there. But that never happen, it is actually unknown what happened to them after the death of Marinas in U.S.
The rumours were going, that he and Krokov were allied to the Dixmor Project, and that was true. However, Osvaldo died of lung cancer in 2015, and Krokov was the last surviving Marina to work for the Project.
