Trivia[]

  • This is the second math/science episode to teach a math topic.
  • This is the first Disney video to feature Julie Aigner-Clark.
  • This is the last video to have poetries, the other two are Baby Shakespeare and Baby Van Gogh.
  • This is the last video to have classical music from Fantasia.
  • This is the first appearances of Alexis, Sienna, and Sophia.
  • This is also the first video to not have the word "baby" shown in the opening or closing titles (not counting the 2004 re-releases of Language Nursery, Neighborhood Animals, and World Animals).
  • The hanging number props and the puppets from the 5 poems were later in 2004, pictured and reanimated for the Numbers and Shapes Discovery Cards.
  • Some of the tracks were later reused in World of Rhythm.
  • This is the only time where Duck in his first PlaySoup form is seen without wearing anything, but with planes and balls.
  • This is the last time the 1st copy of the PlaySoup Duck (version 1) appears before the sunlight damaged him. He is later (legally paid to be) sent to Corey's Kid Show in 2021.
  • An image of the making of the 3 puppet show is seen on the old PlaySoup site, which reveals that Tiger is played by Dave Privett, it was later posted in it's highest quality on his Instagram with another angle of the same day in 2003 (Baby MacDonald can be seen on the far top left).
  • A Promotional CD-ROM from around 2003 features some interesting media that was cut from the final release, including a recomposed version of Three German Dances, K. 605, No. 3 In C Major, "Sleigh Ride" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart accompanying the snowman puppet show, and a strawberry being placed down with Julie's voice reading "One strawberry".
  • Duck (PlaySoup) (Version 1) doesn't return until My First Signs.
  • Baby Beethoven (PlaySoup) doesn't return until Meet The Orchestra.
  • Pavlov (PlaySoup) doesn't return until Baby Wordsworth with new eyes.
  • The 1st version of Baby MacDonald doesn't return until the 2008 version of Baby Mozart.
  • This is the first appearance of Tiger in his Playsoup form who doesn't return until the 2008 version of Baby Mozart.
  • This is the only appearance of Ladybug.
  • This is the last appearance of the 1st Version of Pavlov The Dog in PlaySoup form.
  • This is the first video to have classical music by Haydn.
  • This is the only video to have classical music by Ponchielli, and Strauss, Sr.
  • This is also the first video to have other classical music by Strauss, Jr. besides the Blue Danube Waltz.
  • Baby MacDonald the Cow in her Legends and Lore form in a dual role appeared in Baby Shakespeare, and the Huggy Buggy Car by Hooray appeared in Baby Van Gogh.
  • The audio from Language Nursery is reused on the discovery cards bonus feature.
  • When Neighton, Tiger, and Baby MacDonald sneeze after encountering a Feather Ostrich Pen, their full voices can be heard (Bill Weisbach made them). Neighton and Baby MacDonald nearly sound the same whilst, Tiger has a squeaky voice. However, Tiger has a little lower voice in the snowman scene.
  • Some of the pieces in this video are not available on any CDs or mp3s. As such, this is the first video to have some Classical Music that is not from CDs or DVD Concert Halls.
  • The CD Sampler enclosed on the VHS has the same pieces as the CD enclosed on the Baby Galileo VHS.
  • The White, Blue, and Red Triple Ooze Tube by Carlisle was included in the Toy Chest for some reason, but it was not shown in the video or bonus features.
  • Symphony No. 94 in G Major, "Surprise", 2nd Movement by Franz Joseph Haydn later appears in the World of Rhythm Concert Hall in its full form.
  • In the videos toy chest there is a photo of Neighton the Horse riding in the Caboose of the train with 5 train cars in a white backdrop. It is possible that it was originally going to be used for a post-credits puppet show but wasn't included due to making the video somewhat longer than 20-29 minutes. However, this could be wrong and it was just a photo taken for the Toy Chest.
  • This is the first video to have an eye reflection on a character that previously didn't have one.
    • However, the DVD Menu doesn't use an eye reflection.

Goofs[]

  • In the 2003 original release of Numbers Nursery DVD during the end credits, it says "Nursery Numbers Kids". However, in the late 2004 re-release of Numbers Nursery DVD they corrected it to say "Numbers Nursery Kids". This is the first time where Disney makes a mistake.
  • In the original 2003 release, the color was less vivid in some parts of the video, and more vivid in other parts. This was likely an exporting glitch that Disney fixed in the 2004 re-release, where the color was quite vivid all the way through.
  • During the number 3 poem when Duck (L&L) In a trial role all play trombones the Duck on the left sides puppeteer Ryan Spittler's sleeve can be briefly seen.
