Noob-Smoke refers to an alliance formed by two characters from the Mortal Kombat series: Noob Sailbot and Smoke. They appear as major villains in Mortal Kombat: Return of The Dragon King and supporting villains in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon: Konquest. They play, or played, a supporting villain role on this Wiki, or hero role, depending on how you see it.
About Noob-Smoke[]
Noob Sailbot and Smoke debuted as a tag-team in Mortal Kombat: Deception. Their goal as a partnership is to get Smoke's nanotechnology manifest inhabitants of the Never Never Land and subsequently form an army of enenra-demons.
The tag-team of Noob-Smoke appears as the sub-boss of Return of The Dragon King, their usual arena being the Golden Desert.
Every other playable character in Deception has two fighting styles and one weapon. However, instead of switching fighting styles, Noob-Smoke switches characters, and doesn't have a weapon-based fighting style, sadly.
Armageddon[]
It is known Sub-Zero was not successful in cleansing his brother's soul as seen in the Great Battle. Smoke was also seen fighting alongside the Forces of Darkness, mostly against Nitara. It is also known Noob Sailbot hasn't given up his plans for world domination with the Brotherhood of Shadow's master, Shinnok.
As the characters are separated in Armageddon, they each have a separate ending. In Smoke's ending, he gets an army of a living demon-like beings that he calls itself "Smoke" and they take over Edenia. In Noob Sailbot's, Noob is transported to an area where his entity does battle with the Sub-Zero he was before he was killed by Scorpion over control of Noob's soul. What emerges from the confrontation is only known to be something new... Their endings are a bit different in Armageddon endings edition, tho, with Noob fighting against Smoke instead with Blaze's power, for the control of the Brotherhood of Shadow.
Both Noob Sailbot and Smoke were killed during Armageddon.
Resurrection in Hell[]
During the events after the alt. timeline, Noobie Sailbot and Smoke were still working closely and loyally for the Never Never Land and her master, Shinnok, thanks to their resurrection as both of them were slain by General Olaf Tutchenko after he took over Hell for a week or few. Noob-Smoke played a part in the War on Seido and the following Mortal Kombat Tournaments which saw the spell of doom for Orderworld as the blue planet was merged into the Never Land.
As the leaders of the Brotherhood of Shadow, they were also known to sometimes even take orders from Earl Barbatos and other nobles of Hell, since the Brotherhood was still an assassin group.
Death[]
After Lord Chernobog took the Never Land from Shinnok, the Fallen God would not back down due to his pride and he send his loyalest men, Noob and Smoke to rebel against Chernobog. As the battle between the two overlords went on, Noob and Smoke were killed by Chernobog himself shortly before Shinnok lost the battle.
Trivia[]
- They are the only sub-bosses who can be played without cheats or mods.
- Due to the new tag system in MK 9, Noob-Smoke can be reformed.
- In Challenge #191 of the Challenge Tower in MK 9, the player faces off against Noob and Smoke as a tag team duo.
- If Kenshi is purchased in MK 9, you also get Noob and Smoke's classic skins. When selecting Noob Sailbot, press Start after selecting his classic MKII skin and instead of having his shadow assist him on throws, X-ray move and fatalities, it will be Smoke in his own MKII skin instead.
