Nicolai Koloff is the don of the Koloff Family and Ivan Drago’s manager, who believed Drago could not be defeated. He lied to both the governments of the United States of America and the Soviet Union about being a legitimate manager instead of a Russian Mafia boss. The Soviet government agreed for Drago, Nicolai, Manuel Vega, and Sergei Rimsky to all represent their country in the United States. It all started when some Soviet government witnessed Drago knocking someone out for owing debts to the Koloff Family. In the United States, boxing was used as a common front for the Koloff Family. Nicolai Koloff never showed any remorse after Drago killed African-American boxer, Apollo Creed in 1985. He also witnessed Rocky Balboa defeat Drago for various rounds towards the end of 1985.
