He tore up the place, my fireplace as well, the couch, as you can see and he even beat me up when I said I didn't have it! He also threatened that the next time he sees me and I don't have... that which the Woodsman has, he'll come back and kill me boy. You've gotta help me, Bigby! That kunt, his great grandnewphw or whatever the fuak he is, Johnathan, won't do a goddam thing!"

Mr. Toad is a toad, well Frogman, from the planet Orinion and an apartment owner somewhere in Fabletown where he also used to work as a janitor before becoming too lazy and deciding he'll rather be the boss of the whole shebang.
He has one son and is a former agent for the Dixmor Project.

Mr. Toady was born to a poor Froggy family in the First Swamp on Orinion who barely had the means to fed him.
When the time was ripe and he left the family, Todo moved to Fabletown where he worked as a janitor for around 55 years at a small and crappy apartment until that fateful day when the apartment owner died and he took over the job. However, things weren't as swell for Toad as one would have imagined, for he was quite a serious gambler, but a bad one to go with that. So one day, being unable to pay off his gambling debts, he took a loan from Umberto Dixmor and paid off his debts at the local casino.
However Mr. Toad was unable to return the money to Umberto, and the Gregorian Laws made only things harder for the little frogman. That was when Marko Kabrinović was sent by Dixmor to put a squeeze on Todo and told him to pay up less he faces his judgement. Toadman just shrugged the threats off. Later that night, Todo went to the local bar and spoke about his situation with The Woodsman. However, another one of Umberto's men, Matthew Miller also stepped into the bar at the time but when he saw Woody speaking to Toadman, he left.
When Toadman came home, Miller violently banged on his door and eventually barged in, damaged Toad's house damaged and threw objects everywhere he said that Toad needs to hand him over that which he gave him at the bar, but Toad denied having it. Miller just said that the next time he sees Toadman and he doesn't have that which he needs, he'll come back and butcher him and his son, leading Frogman to calling the Sheriff, Bigby Wolf. Toad tries to stop his son from crying after Miller leaves, but Bigby hears him as he arrives and enters Toad's smelly and ruined apartment. He tells the sheriff that Miller was here and wanted something the Woodsman had or thought he had, but Toad said he didn't have that, but Bigby decides to investigate anyway, much to Toad's chagrin. Snow White who came along notices a trickle of blood coming down from under his hat. Wolfy tells Toad to remove the hat, which he eventually does after taking a pee first. He tells them all about how Matthew asked him for a certain possession of the Woodsman and how he was attacked and threatened with his littel son. Snow tells Toad that they'll be taking the donkey girl's coat, which he then gives them, assuming it had something to do with their case. Toadman says the Woodsman can often be found at the Trip-Trap Bar, the same bar they were both drinking at earlier.
The next day, Toad and his son Toad Jr. are at the Fabletown Mayor Office after calling Snow White the previous night since Ichabod Crane was absent. TJ had witnessed a body being disposed of in the river where he swam and Toad brought him in to share with the Mayor what he knows. When Bigby and Snow White approach to speak with them, Toad is seen hurriedly asking the magic mirror to vanish what he asked for it to show him. When asked what he was looking at, he tells them he was watching Crane, Bluebeard and Bigby's investigation of the Woodsman. Toad says he thinks Woody has dirt on Umberto which is why he sent Miller to Toad's in the first place.
When Toad Jr. begins retelling what he witnessed at the river, Toad protectively tells Bigby to be respectful towards him less he files a complaint to his higher-ups. When Toad learns that Toad Jr. disobeyed his made-up strict rules of staying out of sight and the river, he scolds him only to have Bigby tell Toad to leave him. As TJ becomes increasingly upset telling his lame but truthful story, Toad claims he fears Miller might be spying on them. Toad then leaves with his son out of paranoia, but not before Toad Jr. also admits of seeing a person following him last night but he admits that he doesn't know who that person was.
The next day, Mr. Toad storms into Mayor's Office and gives Crane a death threat note from Dixmor and begs the Fabletown Govt. to do-do something about it.
