— Miss Crumpet complaining about the death of her husband

Miss Crumpet is a major character featured in Red Dead Online and leader of an outlaw gang which she took over after the death of her husband.

Info[]

At some point prior to 1885 or 115 BH, Jessica Garrison married a man sur-named Crumpet, whom she loved dearly and they lead a gang together. Through him, she became friends with Grace Ellington, the wife of her husband's business partner, Stonewall Ellington, and was by extension, part of Gold Town's social elite.

In 1885/115 BH, the same year they married, her husband was murdered in cold blood by the Anderson gang in St. Pennis, as the gang conspired to kill him in order to seize full control of his business via their hasty newfound alliance with Mr. Ellington, who needed Crumpet out of the picture for the alliance to succeed. She then sends her bodyguard and assassins to get Jeff so they may plan Victor Anderson's death.

Interactions[]

The Online protagonist with no name is led to Miss Crumpet's camp by Jeff after he and two armed men found him loitering in one of the camping tents at the Crystal Camp. There, Miss J. G. Crumpet greets them and explains why she brought him there: to help her exact revenge on those responsible for killing her husband and paying the protagonist well. Miss Crumpet explains to our hero that the one responsible for killing her man was Victor Anderson, leader of the cutthroat Anderson gang from Louisiana.

After Jessica and Jeff gather enough men to kill off the entire Anderson band, they meet up with our hero at Fort Jacob, which they believe to be filled with Anderson's men and they turn out to be correct. Jessica provides the protagonist with a brand new shotgun and claims it'll do him well to murder down Andersons, but said he needs to leave Victor for her. She claims that she'll put a bullet through his skull for her late husband, Mr. Crumpet.

Shortly after Victor's murder, Ellington invite Jessica Crumpet to meet him in Gold Town. Suspicious of his intentions and believing him to be allied to the now dead Victor, she asks the protagonist to accompany her. In Gold Town, Ellington greets the Mrs. Crumpet and her goon and says that it's been a while since they met and offers 'em some cookies and tea. Crumpet is pretty sceptical and believes him to have sold out her husband to the Andersons because he probably found better use in them than her man. She then said that it's no wonder, considering how dumb the Andersons are or were, and are easily manipulated. Knowing he was caught, Stonewall smiled arrogantly and told his 24-years old butler to show Miss the document where it was proven that Stonewall had indeed sold out her husband for Anderson gang's help. After closely inspecting the document, Crumpet breathe heavily and ordered the protagonist to kill Stonewall. Before the protagonist or hero could kill Ellington, his bodyguard grabbed him by the arm and twisted it, making him drop his weapon while Stoned Wall's butler grabbed Miss Crumpet's gun and handed it over to Stonewall.

Despite being at his mercy, Miss Crumpet cursed Stonewall and yelled at him that he won't get away with murdering her husband while the protagonist was held by his throat by Ell's bodyguard. Stonewall ordered his man and butler to kill the two, but just then, one of Miss Crumpet's men, Earl Benjamin came onto the scene with a couple of men, pulling a deus ex-machina, and shooting Stonewall's bodyguard down. Stonewall then clapped his hands together before the hero or Miss could retaliate and Houdinied himself off the screen. His butler, who was left, get on his knees and begged for mercy. Miss Crumpet showed him none and had him killed with the shotgun he took from her and then Earl rode to the two, telling them that Stonewall will return, but it ain't known when and where. Knowing this, Miss Crumpet sighted and she left the scene with her men, including the hero.

Death[]

Miss Crumpet was killed on 30 August, 1886/114 BH, while robbing the Pronghorn ranch in Virginia with some of her men. While she held the owner, David Geddes at gunpoint in the barn house, little did she know that some of Cougar's Gang members were hired by Geddes beforehand to protect his farm and ranch. After hearing of the situation in the house, Billy Cougar's men sprinted into action and killed all of Miss Crumpet's men outside the Geddes house, while Jeff and two others escaped. Miss Crumpet told Geddes not to move a muscle and stay quiet while she investigates outside, but when she did step out, she was shot down dead by Willy Seahorn with a shot to the chest and head. Finally, this old hag was able to join her rich husband in the Netherworld.

About a week later, Jeff was killed while trying to rob Kidd Cougar himself and probably avenge Miss Crumpet.
