The Mishima Family is one of the most richest families on Earth.

History

All the main heroes and villains in Tekken are from this family and they have a rivalling-allied relationships between themselves and all feel superior to other people outside their status. There is a curse within their blood that started with Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama that causes them to become greedy, lustful, and want to take over the world.

The patriarch of the family is possibly Jinpachi Mishima, and being a descendant of Kazuya, he was the first one to obtain the Devil Gene.

Trivia

• Asuka Kazama is so far the only member of the family to not get by any way infected with the Devil Gene.
• Despite the fact that we all believe Jinpachi Mishima was the patriarch of the family, it actually started with a long dead ancestor of his's in the Sengoku Period in Japan, but that ancestor was still a descendant of Kazuya, who walked on Earth even before, during the Jōmon Period.
• It is interesting to note that each of the members with direct lineage to the Mishima family have the ability to run an electric current through their hands. This is largely apparent when they are performing certain moves such as rising uppercut. There are also colour variations between members such as blue for Kazuya, red for Jin, yellow/light blue for Heihachi, black/purple for Jinpachi and Kazumi, and purple for Xiaoyu.
• Jin Kazama, ancestor of Daiko Mishima's wife, Jun Kazama, was originally the started of the Devil Gene for the Kazama clan, but that cursed bloodline combined with Mishima's Devil Gene when Jun married Daiko.
• Thanks to their successful Mishima Corporations, Mishima family is the 3rd richest family in the world, behind only the Morgan Family and Dixmor Dynasty.
