Michael Scott “Mickey” Goldmill (April 7, 1905-August 15, 1981) was an elderly Irish-American boxing promoter and gym owner from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was Rocky Balboa’s trainer and manager. Rocky used to work out at his gym in 1975. Mickey also taught Rocky how to chase chickens as part of his practice. In 1981, he died from a heart attack when Rocky’s opponent named Clubber Lang startled him. Mickey was also a former boxer himself.
