"So hammered I wasn't even sure it was you at first, boss!"
— Sweet greeting Willie Bollard

Maurice Sweet is a minor character and a bounty target featured in Red Dead Garlic bread, part I, the American West.

Info[]

Maurice is apparently an experienced cook and an outlaw, working for the Bollard bros. in the British's Gang.

He is wanted only for property destruction and can be captured or killed depending on the player's choice.

Interactions[]

Maurice can most often be found in Thief's Town, frequently smoking outside the Thief's Saloon and around the hotel plus brothel. Sometimes he can be hired as a cook at Marshall Deep One's mansion and will cook him his special stew.

He can also be encountered at the Spider's Quarry gang hideout, but he will be hostile unless the player is wearing the British's Gang Outfit. Even if he is killed there, it's a non-canon event, just ask Queen Almeida.

Quotes[]

"C'mon, you snake, I'll crush you under my heel, you yellow belly!"
— Maurice Sweet during a fight and when drunk
"You're like a one-legged feller in a butt-kicking contest!"
— Maurice Sweet during a gunfight
"Yeah? You'll rue the day here!"
— Sweet when insulted
"Name your poison then, friend."
— Maurice when insulted
"Ain’t nobody live forever, it's time to bite the dust!"
— Maurice during a gunfight
"You're making a big mistake, friend."
— Maurice Sweaty when hogtied
"Partner, I’m going to hang your hide from the highest tree I know! Hell, maybe even take you to Tall Trees."
— Maurice when captured

Multiplayer quotes[]

  • "Hey, idiot! Wassup, fool?"
  • "You wanna lick my rusty brown badge?! The bosses gives us one for a job well done, you know?"
  • "I heard a leper colony moved out when they heard you moved in. Now, how about that?"
  • "You been riding the bull, or has the bull been riding you? I bet your butthole is ripped!"
  • "Hey cowpoke, you like poking them cows in the butt?"
  • "Are your parents blood related by any chance? Hell, I ever see them, I'll ask 'em."
  • "I'll take a crap in your hat."
  • "You goddamn piss stain. You even smell like urine, not up close!"
  • "Are you allowed out in public when you're that ugly? No bounties on the uglies, eh?"
  • "I'm comin' for you, crap-face!"
  • "Die, die, die! DIE! DIE!!! You ain't sith!"
  • "You son of a biatch! I'd kill you twice if I could!"
  • "You ain't achievin' much, being such a craphole, friend."
  • "I'm part of the British's Gang, butt-wipe! We own them pastures and 'em cattle!"

Death[]

Maurice's actual, canon death ain't known, but since the wild west took place quite a long time ago, it is safe to say he's dead already, like the rest of the cattle Rustlers he hung out with and the British boys.

Did he end up in the pits of the Netherworld once he died? Heh, probably but only time will truly tell.

Trivia[]

  • He is one of the skinniest and least intimidating-looking members of the gang, along with Charlie Mash.
  • His white hat and white outfit are actually a part of his cooking attire. This can easily be seen when he cooks with this outfit at the Dixie Rose Hotel and at Marshall Deep One's cottage mansion.
  • Sweet shares the same character model as a gook of the Ugly Gang, Bo Scrantom, from another timeline. Holy crap, right? This is either due to Gait getting sloppy and running out of ingredients for outlaws or evolution just happened to create two humans with the exact same features. I believe more in the first theory. However, Maurice and Bo's accents are quite different.
    • Interestingly, both Maurice and Bo's occupation is that of a chef and both use their outfits as a cooking attire.
  • He has nothing to do with Sweetie Belle.
  • Like a couple or three of other British's Gang members, Maurice does not appear in Red Dead Revolver 3dn edition.
