Martin Polonsky is a character in Call of Duty: World at War (2008).
Biography[]
Martin Polonsky was born May 10, 1926 in Long Island, New York to a Polish-American family. Polonsky was never a good student throughout school and joined the United States Marine Corps in 1944 in hopes of being "straightened out." He was part of the same squad as Tom Sullivan, Benjamin Roebuck and Charles Miller, three much more experienced marines than him. They still kicked butt and took names on Pelileu Island though. Tom Sullivan was killed by a Japanese bonsai attacker and Benjamin Roebuck was promoted to a sergeant from a corporal. Seven months later in May of 1945, the Japanese faked a surrender. Roebuck, Miller and a few other marines survived but Polonsky was killed, alongside a few others. Roebuck gave Miller Polonsky's dogtags.
