— Mario before being shot

Mario Stracci was an important soldier and shop boss in the Stracci Family, known as one of the 'Four Stracci Brothers'. He is a minor villain in The Godfather Game.

Biography[]

Son of Stracci The Older, and cousin to Don Stracci himself, Mario was the second eldest of the four brothers who were all involved in his gold and explosives shops, Donato, Kyle and Diego. He ran his operations from the Stracci Factory on the docks of New Town which caused a rivalry between Mario and his fellow brother Croc Stracci.

Pulling Cuneo strings[]

Mario was also a trusted associate of the Cuneo Family, formerly the boss of the Maranzano family dock. Don Phillip Cuneo bribed him when the Cuneo family was formed to forge an alliance and appointed his homie Artie Maranzano to run the docks. He was given the job of running the cigar shop out of the West Port Factory. He was assisted in this endeavour by a Cuneo soldato from the Damned! club.

In 2010, the Damned! Club was attacked by Sonny Corleone and Charlie Trapani who managed to learn the next link in the chain from the soldato, but the shop boss escaped to Holden Holdings in the railyards of Old Town.

He was followed here by Sonny and Charl, and he revealed Artie Maranzano's role in the racket before throwing himself on the mercy of Sonny and Trapani.

Takeover of Stracci Factory and Downfall[]

Also known as Old "Super" Mario, he was fiercely protective of his younger and older brothers and sent his enforcers after anyone who interfered with their shops. However, his empire was given to the Corleone family after a hostile takeover in 2011/11 AH. He was killed in 12 AH, by Al Neri in Nice as he was about to rat out the Corleones to Barzinis.

Personality and traits[]

Mario Stracci was a man who hid behind a facade of mobsters and threats, but he would crack easily under pressure. This could be seen when he threatened Sonny Corleone and Trapani when at a safe distance, but began begging for his life when they cornered him.

Trivia[]

  • He shares the same character model as Mario DeBellis, and the same outfit as Boom Boom Tradicional.
  • When he begs for his life to Trapani, he mentions of having "little children" although no Stracci brother (minus Diego) was even known for having any kids. It is possible he was referring to his cousins (twice removed).
