— Manson singing one of his top songs imo

Marilyn Manson (real name: Brian Hugh Warner), named himself after the actress and sex icon, Marilyn Monroe and the cult leader Charles Manson, and he is a controversial American rock musician. He was raised in a Catholic household and had to attend a church, but he quickly rejected all of the priest's teachings and decided he'll go the opposite way. Manson makes some good rock music and released albums such as Portrait of an American Family, Antichrist Superstar (HERE'S YOUR ANTICHRIST... SUPERSTAR!) and Mechanical Animals, which earned him a reputation in mainstream, mostly right-wing media as a controversial figure and a literal demon and all the white, christian, middle-class suburban families claimed he had negative influence on young people and teens and that he was responsible for a bunch of mass shootings, including one performed by two ex-Blackjack Pizza employees, although Manson is not responsible for any of this, he was just a scapegoat.

3 of his albums have been awarded platinum status and three more went to grab the gold status, sealing his fate as being a top singer and a legend in his own right. Manson is also a part-time actor, showing up in films with rather minor or supporting roles, including talking to the Poop John Paul (played by John Malkovich) in a movie and showing him a portrait.

He is widely considered one of the most controversial figures in heavy metal or American music, and has been involved in numerous controversies throughout his career. As expected, all of his critics came from right-wing, middle-class, christian families or politicians. He has been banned in some towns in some states as well and received death threats from christians on his door and doorsteps. Many times before going on stage at a certain place, he contemplated the fact that it might be his last day performing, assuming someone might try to kill him. Luckily, the heat on Manson has cooled down since recently and he receives less death threats than he used to, sometimes even none.

His former gf, Evan Rachel Wood, accused Manson of psychologically and sexually abusing her and tried to win him over in court, but Manson denied all of this and most lawsuits against him were dismissed.

Religiously, Manson once described himself as a LaVeyan Satanist, Spiritual Satanist and an atheist. Although he seems to be jumping back to his old religious views once on every red moon, he seems to be an atheist by default and in general.

Trivia[]

  • His habit of having one eye brown and the other blue is similar to Kane Barrel's.
  • He is not to be mistaken with the wizard Merlin.
  • Some people once thought he was a woman.
  • There was once a popular disbelief that he was the son of Charles Manson, even. Who could have dunk it?
  • According to an interview, Manson has Native American roots. If this were the case, maybe one of his ancestors used to rode with Dutch's Tribe.
