"We’ve noticed that you’re near-sighted cadet Fernandez, if you give us permission, we will let you replace your old eyes with our brand new MK2 Eyeballs! These new eyes will give you full colour vision if you're colourblind, has built in night vision, allows you to take pictures (doesn’t have a flash), record videos, and will let you see further away than any normal human eyes. So whaddya say?"
— Mysterious scientist
"I don’t know. Will I still be allowed to join the Air Force with these new eyes?"
Ethan Allen Fernandez
"The U.S. Armed Forces, and police, are actually very interested in having this new device tested. They will happily allow our successful test subjects to join their ranks."
— Mysterious scientist

The MK2 Eyeball are artificial eyes created by Medical Mechanica. In the Weapon Wielders video game, the player will have the option of replacing Ethan’s old eyes with MK2 Eyeballs. The MK2 Eyeballs will allow the player to zoom in on far away people or objects, quickly switch between night vision, and normal vision, take pictures, and record videos discreetly. Accepting upgrades from Medical Mechanica will make the game easier, but it will make the character you play as less human, and this could effect the story. Ethan will no longer need to wear glasses to see far.

Trivia[]

  • The name comes from the term MK1 eyeball, Short for "Mark One Eyeball", which refers to normal unaided human eyes. Commonly used by military internet know-it-alls to confuse people in an argument. The MK in it has nothing to do with Mortal Kombat after all.
