Don Leonardo da Vinci was the Boss of the Vinci Family and was one of the most drug addicted folks in New York City, even more than the Marina Family. After the family's victory in the Vinci-Falcone War, he became the most powerful and youngest Legend in the city.
Biography[]
In 1973 he, along with Fat John and Johnny DeMantagna, set up Jimmy Scaleri, leading Jimmy taking revenge on him when he escaped from trap by destroying Leonardo's drug business and killing his best men. Later, Da Vinci took refuge at the lighthouse in the docks: however, Jimmy was able to track him down. After he fought his way through Vinci's guards, Leonardo begged Jimmy on knees to spare his life and as Jimmy was about to execute him, he was stabbed in back and brutally killed by Frank Triangoli, saving Vinci.
Events of Mafia[]
Vinci's very first appearance is when he attends the ceremony of Vito Corleone and Joe Clemenza being "made" by the Falcone Family, and Leonardo's father, Frank, offering words of wisdom: "Stay away from the dope... no sith and dope, that's our policy.", but he got shot point-blank by the Falcones. Leo would then become Don of the Vinci Family, and there was a period where both the Falcone and Vinci families were on thin ice, mainly because the Falcone family was trying to whack their Lawyer Galante, and because they killed o' Frank Vinci and Leo wanted some vengeance. He has Joe and Vito kidnapped and brought to New York Construction Co. for interrogation on the recent situation involving the attack behind the Red Dragon Triads at the Dragon Restaurant as well as his Capo Derek Barrel and his crew at the Southport docks. After this event, Vinci can always be seen in night bars and casinos, usually playing poker. Though, he was last mentioned when Lion tells Vito that da Vinci, Frank's son and the rest of the Commission want him dead due to recent events involving the death of Xi Fong.

- Ennino Saleri was a friend of his.
- He may be a relative of Henry Tomasino, as his cousin's surname is Tomasino. However, it is very unlikely as Tomasino is actually a common surname.
- In the end, the Vinci Family became allies with the Marina Family and Falcone Family.
- He can sometimes be spotted snorting cocaine and using drugs at nightclubs. Despite Vinci policy being "No drugs!".
- He claims that his father would kill him, if he would spot him using drugs.
- He died of krak overdose on 5th of August, 1989.
