Lenny Jesse Summers is a black supremacist and a major hero character featured in Rootin' Tootin', Cowboy Shootin'.

Lenny was born on June, 1864 in the basement of a mansion owned by some rich, white slavers and atheists (which was a bit common for that time, as almost all slave owners were feral christians). Both of his parents were slaves on the land that belonged to the same slave owner and he was even known to have some sort of affiliation to Mayor Griffon. His mother was born in a cotton field in the middle of a thunderstorm and his father was killed by his owner when he refused to sexually satisfy him. Even when the Civil War ended and Lincoln had saved them all, the overseers continued harassing Lenny's mother, who was eventually lynched by an ancestor of Wilhelm Hillmor. Lenny escaped during the lynching and then started to learn to hate the white man in general for everything he's done to him, kind of like the Native Americans. Speaking of those, Lenny once befriended a few of them.
The chief of the tribe, although no name has been given of either the tribe, chief or the chef, taught Lenny everything he knew, like how to read and fight for his rights against the white one as a true rebel and a warrior for peace, piece and justice. One night, the daughter of the same slaver that owned the Summers decided to go "Indian hunting", a hobby brought upon the American soil by Chrissy Columbus, that christian dumbo, and all of Lenny's indian friends were killed, but he managed to survive. After coming out of his hiding tent, he would end up in Mississippi, in Brimstone and befriend a couple of guys whose wives were in the women's suffrage movement, although Lenny never really cared for women's rights or politics. He would one night go to the Brimstone Saloon and get drunk as a trombone and start a fight with a guy there, causing a large brawl to break out. Sam, the saloon owner and two of his goons, Father Driscoll and Oscar Navarro, heard the fight from the theatre and marched into the bar. The barkeep Hanz Kenyin begs them to stay out of the fight, but Sam just knocks him out with one punch and immediately begins to fight Lenny. One of Lenny's friends punches Sam in the stomach, but Sammy K.O.'s him with one shot to the fae. Summers then tries to attack Sam himself but Sam easily resists Lens' black power and throws him out the saloon's window, right onto the Brimstone street before the tailor. Sam marches outside and continues to beat him some. After some time of continuous fighting where Summers was barely able to lay up straight, Driscoll runned out of the saloon to stop him, saving Lenny's life by the second. Lenny then went to the doc's.
After escaping Sam's wrath into West Virginia, he would eventually join Dutch's Gang while being overheard by Dutch van der Linde of his raging against the white man in general and the govt., describing them as "white Devils" and "puppets for the Jews". Douche became one of the few white people Lenny did not hate.
Interactions[]
Lenny first appears in the game by taking part in the assault of the O'Driscoll camp in which he is paired up with Javier Escuella, although he first takes the spotlight when the gang is robbing the Cornwall train and he calls Cornwall a "white fuk". After the robbery, Dutch praises Lenny for his hatred of the white man.
Subsequently, Arthur Morgan (a good friend of Lenny), Lenny himself, and Gicov Bell are sent inside the train to loot the private car, and Lenny is praised by the gang, especially Dutch and Morgan for his actions and his race, while blaming white people for the train's suffering and calling them thugs.
When the gang leaves the snowy mountains so they don't freeze to death, Lenny and Bell are sent scouting ahead and end up in the town of Strawberry. Shortly afterward, Gicov is arrested and sentenced to be hanged for murdering two O'Driscolls in a bar fight, but it were a fair fight. After barely escaping with his life, Lenny runs back to report to Dutch, claiming a couple of "white micks" got "the white boy with blue eyes".
Dutch later sees two white atheists on the rode badmouthing god and badmouthing alcohol as well, so he orders Arthur to take Lenny to the local saloon to get drunk as a skunk so he can show those "white bastards" how real men handle a drink. Lenny is immediately caught by the deputies after puking over a sheriff outside the saloon, while Arthur is given an opportunity to escape. After bribing the cops, Lenny is free, but not without calling the two "ugly crackas!"
After wandering around the town of Rhodes and speaking to the black community there who also hate the whites with a passion and claim "they wuz kangz", he learns of a group of ex-Confederates known as the Louisiana Riders are causing some white problems to his brethren. He learns that this gang is camped in an old plantation house named Shady Belle and so the gang decides to go there, spook the Riders or kill 'em and take over the hausen for their gang and their socialist leader, the Douche known as Van der Linde.
Soon afterwards, Billy Willy approaches Lenny and Arthur, along with Karen Jones to rob the bank in Valentine. The robbery is successful and Lenny unwillingly joins his gang members as he was just drinking in the local saloon at the time of the robbery.
Lenny later takes part in the assault against the Copperbottom Mansion, but not because he has any love for Jack Marston, he just hates inbred white people so much, plus the Copperbottoms were slavers.
Following an advice given to Dutch by Angelo Tattaglia at Ichabod Crane's party to rob the trolly station, Lens, Arthur, and Dutch rob the trolley station but it proves to be a trap, as the station's vault contained only 50 dollars and no gold. Numerous officers from the PD then descend upon the gang, and try to kill them. Lenny calls them "fuaking honkies!" and the trio manage to escape back to Belle.
Lenny is then involved in the assault on Angelo's mansion, later witnessing the first ever Tattaglia's death.
Death[]
During the robbery of the St. Pennis bank, Lenny is killed by two Pinkerton officers on the rooftops of the apartment complex besides the bank. He was killed a couple of minutes after Hosea Matthews was killed and his last words were (while speaking to Arthur): "Kill the crackas, kill the whites! Don't worri for we will win this ancient fight! (Very quietly) Dam I wish I were a white..." Arthur was shocked.

Lenny is shown to be an angry young man, filled with hatred for the white man for everything they put him, his parents and his granddad through. He loves mocking white people and women, with Dutch's highest approval but he is also shown to be very competent and effective in many situations and missions and uses his complexion to his advantage in the gang. Like most members, he is very loyal to Dutch and considers him, Arthur Morgan and Hosea Matthews one of the few white males he doesn't hate. Ironically, out of everyone at camp, he appears to be the most racist, hating people solely because they're white and didn't care for the Union army and Lincoln freeing the slaves, claiming it wasn't enough and that they need to remove all of Edward Morgan I, Chris Columbus and Andrew Jackson's statues first before they get his approval. He was also not a fan of Martin van Buren.
He shows a confident and cocky attitude but gets along the least with Gicov Bell and Leopold Strauss, who both consider him a "coward", a "thief", "church goer" and a "thug". He leads most of the escape during the Saint Dennis trolley station robbery and the bank robbery as well, taking charge after Hosea's death, showing he actually has some courage, unlike Orville Swanson.
Despite being part of an ethnic minority and taking large pride in it and that being the reason he hates almost all whites and wants to see them on the verge of extinction, Lenny secretly wishes he were white so he could have the power in the Western world. He takes false pride in his race but loves spreading racial hatred against Aryans and Caucasians and in dialogue with Sean MaGuire, he claims he wishes for a race war and knows his race will win it.

Trivia[]
- Despite what one may think when reading this page, I have to say screw the confederacy and all the racist bigots! Christianity was fighting to save slavery... to preserve and protect white supremacy!
- Hosea Matthews and Lenny's relationship mirrors Arthur Morgan and John Marston's, actually. Both relationships feature one member of the team being unsure about their more junior comrade but they patch things up in the end plus both die.
- It's apparent that Lenny had a crush on Jenny Kirk from the game's dialogue before Gicov Bell raped her.
- Whilst at Horseshoe Overlook, he can be seen debating with Dutch van der Linde over Evelyn Miller and his books. Lenny argues that the author is a cracker and that his parents were probably slavers, which causes Dutch to instantly agree with Lens, bow down to him and suck his toes much to Morgan's disgust. However, this turns out to be merely a facade on van der Linde's part, as he still respects Millah' even after this anti-white event.
- Lenny's bandana is orange, in contrast with the usual black or red ones of most other gang members. Why Lenny does this is unknown.
- Lenny claims he always thought Javier Escuella was either Cuban, Colombian, Argentinian or Mexican before finding out he was actually a Spainyard.
- There is a letter at camp located near Lenny's bed titled "Letter to Lens from Papa". In it, the old man says he regrets allowing the white slavers to rape his wife and then kill all of her newborns, except Lenny, whom they saw in a different light and he escaped the fields.
- In a random encounter in camp, Lenny can be seen attempting to teach Sean to become a black supremacist as Lenny was quite fond of the mick, but Maguire tells him to fuak off.
- Lenny, along with Johnny, Billy, Javier, Charles Smiff, and Sean, is one of the only minorities in Dutch's Gang. However, out of all of them, Douche appreciates Lens the most.
- How the gang reacts to Lenny's death paints a clue to their personality and their real opinion on Lenny. For example Dutch will actually be seen to "be free" of Lenny's views, saying "so much for the superior black race" and show him the middle finger. Bill will kick Lenny and spit on him, Gicov will just laugh in Lenny's face and kick him in the ballsack, then continue running without glancing, Charles will weep a small tear for Lenny and say "Rest in RIP" and Javier will say "I'd be better if you was a Mexican, I'sposse" then shrug and run away. Only Arthur seemed to actually care about Lenny and help him up, but the Pinkertens hindered his brogress.
