Kurt Lauterback is a minor character featured in Red Dead Redemption part III, The New Life.
Info[]
Kurt is an immigrant from Germany, as evidenced by his name and accent. Judging by his attire, he seems to be the Gold Town's undertaker, working for another German, Androcles Ott's funeral parlour. He has a relative, Charlotte Lauterback, buried in the town's cemetery.
Interactions[]
Kurt can most often be found playing poker in the Gold Town Saloon, where he also often plays the piano when not playing poker. However, he has been known to frequent MacFarlane's Ranch's train station, presumably to get back to Gold Town.
Death[]
Kurt was executed at Gold Town plaza by the American Army on 4th of January, 1917 during the first World War, with newspapers speculating he was hiding enemy intelligence along with Ott, and it was revealed that was true. Him and Ott were actually spying on US ever since 1915 and were informing the German government, if not Wilhelm Kaiser II directly, about US' weaponry, artillery and when an attack would be made by the USA through private phones.
Trivia[]
- Kurt wears the same outfit as Virgin Scoggins, with the exception that Virgin wears a neck-tie rather than a bow-tie.
- Kurt does not appear in Red Dead Revolver 3dn edition.
