Krampus is the archenemy of Santa Claus. He is the demon of Christmas. His origins come from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, eastern France and northern Italy. In Slovene, he is known as something as Kurrent (not the electrical one).
Biography[]
Krampus is said to punish kids on Santa Claus’s naughty list by capturing them in a sack and taking them to his lair where he whacks them with switches or forces them to harvest his apples. Krampus is good friends with his fellow demons known as Satan, the Grim Reaper, the Plaque Monster and the Boogeyman and is enemies with Yahweh, Gait, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and the Sandman. Krampus was once one of Santa’s elves much like how Satan was once one of Yahweh’s angels or how Shinnok was once one of Gait's fellow gods. However, Krampus decided he has had enough of being overworked and paid little so he decided to rebel against Santa Claus. He was subsequently cast out of the North Pole and sent to the South Pole. Krampus also has his own army of former elves of Santa Claus known as gnomes and probably has connections in the Netherworld. The Grinch was Krampus’s head gnome. Ebenezer Scrooge and Professor Hinkle were both high priests of Krampus. Much like how Shinnok's supposed son (could be of some other demon, though) is known as the Anti-Christ, Krampus’s son is known as the Anti-Claus and he plans to unleash the Twelve Nights of Dark Christmas.
