Kate Miller is a major character in the American Crime Tales series who appears in American Crime Tales: The American Dream as a major supporting character. She is voiced by Bella Byrne.

Background[]

Kate Miller was born on August 15, 1980 in Evergreen City . As a child her father was a police officer who was murdered by his fellow officers in the 1980's. Her mother was shot to death ina robbery when she was 18, leaving her alone. In 2001 she began reporting for the local news but later that year in November published an article about the corrupt judicial system in Evergreen Couty, this had her placed on the ECPD 's watch list and even got her arrsted in 2001 and 2003. 

Events of The American Dream[]

In 2003, Miller first meets McCreary after he escaped the bus crash and met with Richard Carcer . Kate wants to write about the gang that killed McCreary's family and she knows he is innocent. Over the course of the story, Kate becomes almost a second main character as she is present during most inter level cutscenes in the game, McCreary and Kate grow closer and closer as the story progresses and Miller is kidnapped by George Stockton and held along with McCreary, but they escape and Stockton is killed. Kate leaves town for a year but her writings led to the downfall of the corrupt system in the spring of 2004. In March of 2004, Miller meets with McCreary and they catch up, with Kate explaining that Jason Smith died in January. The two enter McCreay's apartment where Kate plays the piano and her and McCreary fall in love, running away to start a life in the Midwest.
