Johnny "Smart Guy" Mussolini is a shop boss and a Soldier in the Barzini Family. He plays a minor but important role in The Godfather series.
Biography[]
A tourist from New York City, Mussolini set up trade as a legitimate jeweller before joining the Barzini Family for better profits and become a Wise Guy. The family sent him to Crazy Town, where he forced his way into Cafe Vitales, a restaurant owned by Jimmy Vitales. Jim gave into Mussolini after the pressure, allowing him to run a great diamond operation from the bakery's basement and sent them to Willy Aquilare and Liberto Pesgado, who in turn, gave them to Victor Barzini and his family.
In 2011, Johnny was eventually brought down by Charlie Trapani, who bought him out and took over the shop.
About a year later, Johnny was complaining about his pay and was thinking of joining the Fortunato Regime, he succeeded and joined their regime, escaping his assassination by the Corleone Family attempt just in time.
In around the year of 2015, Johnny had finally worked himself up and proven effectively to work as their own Soldier while he's still a racket and shop boss for their numerous fronts. He is also their important key member now.
It is unlikely he'll ever step up to become a capo, however.
