Johnathan "Johnny" DeMantagna was a capo in the Vinci Family. He was killed in a shootout with Marina Family men led by Roberto Gattos at the Garden Park in Highbrook, New York. He is the father of the barber, Dino DeMantagna.

Info[]

Johnny was a high-ranking Capo of the Vinci Family, and presumably led a regime in Highbrook and Empire Bay. He was one of the most trusted men of Don Leonardo da Vinci.

In 1973 he, along with at-the-time Underboss da Vinci and his successor, Fat John, set up Falcone Assassin Jimmy Scaleri, leading Jimmy taking revenge on them when he escaped from a trap by destroying Leo's drug business and killing his best men.

In 1975, Johnny and Leonardo helped Leo's father captured Vito Corleone and Joe Clemenza at the New York Construction Co. for interrogation on the recent situation involving the attack behind the Red Dragon Triads.

Johnny and his regime's hangouts were the Garden Park in Highbrook.

Death[]

While hanging around in Highbrook, a drive-by car driven by mobsters belonging to the Marina Family led by Roberto Gattos was seen driving up to the Garden Park fountain where Johnny and his men were conversating. The Marina mobsters started spraying led at Johnny and his men, with Johnny retaliating with two shoots to the car and a taunt, but before he could do anything else he was shoot in the head and many times in the chest by Gattos himself. The outcome leaved all of DeMantagna's men dead and this was one of the steps Gattos would made to get promoted to a soldier.
