James “Jimmy” Vincent is an Italian-American mobster who is the main antagonist of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, the latest and probably last Indiana Jones movie featuring Harrison Ford. He was played by Michael Madsen.
Biography[]
Jimmy Vincent was born March 23, 1912/88 BH in Newark, New Jersey to a family of Sicilian descent. He joined the Profaci crime family in the early 1930's/60's BH as their enforcer. By the 1940's, he became a Wise Guy under the crew of Tommy Lombardo. Around October 1945/55 BH, an American archaeologist named Indiana Jones and a British archaeologist named Basil Shaw began an undercover investigation into the Profaci crime family as they were planning to steal of the Dial of Destiny in order to sell it on the black market for lots and lots of cash, becoming millionaires. Their codenames were Minnesota Granger and Alan Hawk respectively. The two of them were posing as art thieves in order to infiltrate the mob. Jimmy Vincent was the one who brought them into the organisation as associates. Their investigation lasted until June of 1946 when they were found out to be wearing wires the whole time once they got ahold of the Dial of Destiny. Tommy Lombardo took Indiana Jones to be sleeping with the fishes while Jimmy Vincent took Basil Shaw to be executed in the woods. Indiana Jones ended up escaping while rescuing Basil from a group of mobsters and even getting ahold of the Dial of Destiny once again. As the duo quickly got to a train, the mobsters got on too just before the train’s departure. Indy and Basil were chased towards the top of the train where Tommy ended up getting shot by Basil and Jimmy was wounded after receiving half of the dial. Indy and Basil made a jump for the water in order to escape more mobsters and found the other missing half.
Jimmy Vincent and Indiana Jones would not cross paths again until years later in August of 1969. However, Jimmy had been promoted to a capo by then and had his own crew members with a few wise guys such as the Romano cousins named Joseph Romano and Mario Romano, as well as Luca Milano. They also encountered the daughter of Basil and goddaughter of Indy named Helena Shaw in search for the Dial of Destiny. It was eventually destroyed by Indy and Helena as they thought it would please the deceased Basil. Jimmy subsequently died in a fight against them and their teenager friend named Teddy Kumar.
