James Joseph Reeb (January 1, 1927-March 11, 1965) was a German-American gangster from Wichita, Kansas. He was the husband of Rebecca Deason, who was the co-leader of the Reeb-Deason Gang, which was active from 1950-1965. It began shortly after the couple met each other. They mainly robbed shopping malls, museums, banks, and jewelry stores. However, they were also known for chop shopping, auto theft, and illegal street vending. In 1965, James and Rebecca were killed together by the FBI. Other prominent members of their gang included Elmer Cook and two cousins named William Van Hoggle and Namon Van Hoggle.
