Dr. Hugo Coffin was one of the newest superstars in the WWE, serving under the RAW roster, and was leading the stable consisting of the then-United States Champion, Pyro and the WCW Champion, Vladimir Kozlov, named The Red Menace. He is now a zombie.

Hugo is pro-communist, a medical doctor by profession, and looks like Victor Frankenstein on drugs and despite being a newcomer to the show, has proven himself quite a lot already, having the overall of 77 (newbies usually start with 50) and was the challenger (along with Pyro) for the Unified WWE Tag Team titles against the Taker Attack one week after his arrival. However, despite all these pushes, he and Pyro lost their chance to hold the titles to the Undertaker and Jason Voorhees.
His group is also known to be more of a jobbers group rather than "top-notch badasses" and Hugo might even be better in single matches than in tag team matches. That was the case until his death at Johnny Bravo's hands.

- "Doctor Hugo Coffin's lust for power is very high despite his rookie background. Quickly forming a group of followers with similar viewpoints, Hugo managed to take his stable to the top. Eventually, he was allowed to face the Taker Attack for the WWE's Unified Tag titles. But as expected from a stable of less fighting experience, no matter which members it has, Hugo and his bodyguard Pyro lost the opportunity to take the gold away from Eddy Barrel and Jason Voorhees."

- Despite being a medical doctor, Hugo wears an outfit more fitting for a surgeon. He wears white clothes with a white impervious apron, green rubber gloves and a doctor's facemask. It is possible he could only be wearing this to appear more menacing and creepy as he is one of the many horror-themed superstars. When he is wrestling, he takes his apron off, while he may or may not remove his mask.
- Hugo has a flag of the Soviet Union on his medical shirt on the waist.
- His appearance (mostly his unusual eye colour and wrestling clothes) were based off of the Ghost of Dr. Coffin from The Scooby Doo Show.
- It is unknown if Hugo has any deformities or not, giving his spooky appearance.

Hugo Coffin's theme song is March of the Soviet Tankists thanks to his communist viewpoints and his personality which includes the idolisation of Joseph Stalin and Joe Valirover.
