Harold Krakauer is a character in Call of Duty: WWI, during the American campaign, where he fights against soldiers of the German Empire. He served as an infantryman, and pilot, in World War I. He is Jewish, and somehow ended up poor by the events of Bully.

Bully[]

Harold Krakauer Bully

Harold Krakauer in Bully (2006).

In Bully, he talks about the trenches and "going over the top" (both World War I phrases and terms), and also claims Roy Brown stole his credit for shooting down the "Red Baron" Manfred von Richthofen. Disturbingly, some of his quotes suggest he may have committed some atrocities. He sometimes discusses how he killed people. Some of his quotes even hint that he may still be killing, although this may just be senile dementia on his part. He uses many antiquated words when talking, such as telling people who harass him to go back to their "scullery kitchen".

When Krakauer met Lola Lombardi, he told her that her great grandfather “was a good man”, this indicates that he knew her great grandfather. at around the time of Harold’s death on the 12th of November, 2008, he was one of the last surviving veterans of World War I.
