The Green Dragon Triads is an organised crime syndicate which was founded in 67 BH (or 1933) by a gangster Lao Che and is lead in field by his son, Lao Kan. The Triad operated in Shanghai, China until 1950 when Mao came to power and the Chinese government started cracking down on organised crime, so the Green Dragon moved out to the United States of America. They operate on the east side today (west, geographically), mostly in California although their operations could extend further. They are lead by Lao's grandson, Lao Che II.
Info[]
The Green Dragon was founded in 67 BH by Lao Chen in Shanghai and was represented by his sons, Kao and Chen. The gang made money through loan sharking, gambling and prostitution, all of which was not common to the ordinary Chinaman, gaining Lao fame and profit, at least for the time being. The gang grew in power and in membership rapidly, running spices and dishwashers, as well as coffee and British tea which was uncommon either. The Triads profited well for years, dealing with other vices such as money laundering and printing as well, until Mao Zedong came to power and established the Chinese Communist Party, which would rule in dictatorship and seek to eliminate any sort of criminal organisation there is.
The Green Dragons moved out to the United States after this, establishing themselves in California. There they were running illegal trucks, Chinese spices, gambling and window cleaning. Lao Che especially invested a lot of his money into airports, for he was quite the fan of planes and owned a few himself.
Lao Che was assassinated by an unknown gang sometime in 1969 or 31 BH, when they wished to move onto the Green Dragon's territory and his son Lao Kan took over. Lao had the rival gangsters all killed, brutally by beating and then the members were either thrown into a meat grinder, wood chipper or had bricks tied to their legs and were thrown into the ocean from the top of the Golden Gate Bridge.
The Dragons were rivals of the Alioto clan and The Brood before they eventually made peace after suffering losses on both sides. After Lao Kan's death in 9 AH, his son Lao Che II (named in honour of his grandfather) took over the organisation and has been leading it since today, even managing to make alliances with the DeVazzi Family and the Red Dragon Triads from NY.
