Giuseppino Andolinetti is a minor character in A Tale of Two Families and a mentioned character in the rest the American Crime Tales series. He is voiced by Michael Gambetti.
Background[]
Andolinetti was born in October, 99 BH in Corleone, Sicily to an oldest son of the leader of the Andolinetti clan, Pietro Andolinetti, Gaetano Andolinetti. Eventually, when he was 3 years old, Andolinetti and his family were forced to flee from Corleone to Bari, due to his grandfather's death at the hands of the rival clan in 1904/96 BH and eventually, his family came to America by sea in 92 BH, eventually settling in Queen City, while the other members of his family either stayed in Bari or fled elsewhere in Italy, mostly in Milan, Rome and Florence. In 1917, his older twin brothers, Carlo and Ludovico, who were conscripted in the American Army, were killed in World War I by the Imperial German army. As a youth, he was a member of the Petrenko gang, led by a Russian immigrant, former soldier of the Imperial White Army and small-time gangster, Mikhail Petrenko, but eventually, he became the gang's second in-command due to his sycophantic abilities and feigned loyalty. Due to his initial dislike of Petrenko, similarly to the other gang members, as Petrenko was a cruel and evil man and known as something of a bad leader, Andolinetti was eager to take over his organisation. Even back in Russian Empire, Petrenko was viciously cruel, working as an assassin for the Romanos and killing the Bolshevik butchers. Andolinetti later killed him out of hatred after Petrenko said that the Italians will always be worse than Russians, and Andolinetti shot him point blank in the face. Andolinetti eventually took over his gang after killing and burying Petrenko in the city's outskirts in an unmarked grave where he took a piss in, made it more organised, expanded its influence and profits from business operations, such as coke smuggling, prostitution, diamond trade, gold trade and drug trade, as well as their quality and quantity. He also killed the majority of the gang's members or replaced them with his own guys, defeated many other small and big gangs in the city and renamed it to the Andonlinetti Crime Family. Throughout the years, he would build the family into one of the most powerful crime families in Queen City and even receive the nickname "The Cardinal of Crime" by Queen City's media, both left and right.
Events of A Tale of Two Families[]
In 1987, Andonlinetti makes a brief appearance, along with his oldest son and right-hand-man, Danilo, where he is having a meeting with Ricardo Gambinuchi, discussing how to approach the Fontana family in the mob war and what to do with the unused drawer-making rackets. Geno LaForelli is honoured to be in his presence and the two exchange a handshake and have a small discussion concerning Andolinetti's brilliance before Andolinetti leaves with his son back to the Andolinetti mansion and isn't seen for the rest of the game.
In Queen City Underground, it is stated that Andolinetti died in 1988/12 BH from old age while his son was killed in a shootout. Giuseppino's grandson Renato took charge of his family, along with his twin brother Dante, as his second-in-command.
Trivia[]
- Despite having physically appeared only once in the series, he remains a often discussed character throughout the rest of the series and is considered a secret, hidden character in multiplayer.
